Hi!
I just browsed through the online list and felt like saying Hello, just because we're both pretty new in here.
And, I first thought you might be Lady Grey from KaraNet, but when you're from England, you're not.
The ACEs are really good, right? I really felt like they want to teach us something. I'd probably be lost without their advice.
So, have fun, Choirmaster

Hello and thank you for the greeting. No I'm not your friend. (well apart from the fact that everyone seems to be a friend on here) - actually, over here Lady Grey is a type of tea, not sure if your friend knows that.
Happy surfing onthis interesting site - though I'm still waiting for the answer to my lemmings question that I joined for!

I tried to give you an answer in the Lemmings forum. At least it suits for the cute little lemming in my computer...

Right, and I'm going to check why my friend has the nickname of a teasort. But you still have the same nickname, so why is yours?

I'm afraid it's a very dull answer - I find the colour grey suits me. I could invent a more interesting answer if you think it woudl sound better the next time someone asks me though!
So can I assume you are a choir master somewhere?

Sorry, I could only think of the Lemmings inside my computer. Maybe you should ask Spoo Monkey (U32948) himself, who wrote the Lemmings entry. It's not a long entry either.
You should probably make a new Lemmings entry into the guide if you know lots of them...
My friend "Lady Grey" has told me she picked the nickname because of a song from "Duran Duran" - "Grey Lady Of The Sea". It has nice lyrics, and I'll have to check the melody when I'm at home again.
I am not a real Choirmaster, though I'd like to be. Feel free to check my Personal Space, you just need to click on my name above this posting. There I tried to explain the nickname...
Bye for now, and tell me how your lemmings are doing...

OK you have a far better intro on your home page then me (I'd love a pet dragon too being a Robert Asprin fan). Puts me to shame. Maybe I'll do something about that this weekend, after seeing both my parents for their birthdays that is. Actually make that the weekend after!
So did the Duran Duran song turn out to be good musically? They were a bit before my time so I don't recognise the song title.
Still haven't followed up on the lemmings thing, Kind of struggling to catch up after being on hol. Plus after events in USA it seems a little trivial.
anyway I have boring house chores to go so I'm signing off now

Hum, I've been offline for a while now too. But now university is starting, and I have lots of time again!
I'm sure you'll get to do a nice intro too. The Dragon is just a picture from the Picture collection here, you can also use it

greylady Posted Sep 30, 2001
you mean you don't really have a dragon?! Shame. I guess if I ever logged on long enough to explore properly I'd get an intro fleshed out, but I always log on when I have a deadline to meet later on so no go. Still, as I don't have an internet connection deal it's probably just as well I'm not running up the phone bill more than necessary!
Hang on, shoulnd't you be more busy if you are back at Uni. Obviously I was never out of the library when I was there!
Busy...
Choirmaster (Keeper Of Choirs) Posted Oct 10, 2001
Well, it seems I also don't log in very often even now when I'm at the university.
I hope I will be online more often now. It's my decision what I do, so I can log onto H2G2 instead of studying.
Just did homework with a colleague, about 4 hours, and still not done. And I need to clean my room. But I decided that I don't like stress, and so I'm here writing to you.
So, how's life?
Busy...

Clean your room - are you sure you are a proper student? Ok I was actually quite tidy at Uni, and not just cos they came and inspected us. There were 4 of us in a flat, 2 of us were people who did the dishes as soon as the meal was over and the other 2 left it till they were eating out of the sucepan cos there was not clean cutlery. And yet we are still all friends
I went to a uni mates wedding last weekend which was interesting, seeing old friends (and ex boyfriends) who I'd not been close enough to kepe in touch with. I can see why reunions might be fun though.
I totally empathise with the work avoidence thing. I once even went to a 24 hour role play session to avoid an essay. How bad is that (please don't tell me you are now a master of dungeons and Dragons!). Actualyl I went mainly cos I fancied one of the players I even tried to learn to play MAgic at one point. Ah what foolish things we do.
Still, I'd rather be back there than at work. Udner pressure at the mo - not enough people. And they have asked us to all say when we want off at Christmas but are now saying not enough have volunteered to be in so some will have to miss out. Also, cos of the WTC tragedy, the company is tightening it's belt and the message between the lines is that there won't be any pay rises next year, just like happened 2 years ago when the company was trying to sell our UK arm off. Not very motivating.
But hey I leave there next Summer whatever happens so I'm not to oworried.
But now I'd best go and do my dishes

Well, I guess I've spent another month or even more without H2G2. Time passes so quickly when I'm at the university. I always have something to do in the evenings, too.
Yes, I'm a proper student and I clean my room when I know Mom is going to visit.
It's great that you had fun at the wedding. I can't wait for the party on Thursday, because I have a crush on a girl who is always bartending there. I hope I can get around to talk to her.
I sometime do roleplaying too, but it takes just too much time. Haven't done it in a whole year. We prefer Strategy games which are over after 1 or 2 hours.
And I think everyone should be off for Christmas!
What are you going to do next summer then?

greylady Posted Dec 11, 2001
And I wasn't exactly checking every day either! Too busy wrapping presents and writing cards but I'm done now - hurrah. Shame I'm working Chrustmas Eve and the Thursday after but I do then get Friday - Tuesday off.
So how did the party go? did you get to talk to her? Hope so.
Next Summer - bit busy what with getting married and everything! Yep, tieing the knot, giving up my job (oh what a shame that will be) and moving to London (not so nice cos I like the countryside but by far the most practicle thing to do money wise). So once Chirstmas is over I will be going into panic mode about colour schemes, flowers and how to do my hair. Least that's the theory.
How about you, doing anything as exciting as that?!

Choirmaster (Keeper Of Choirs) Posted Mar 11, 2002
Hum again!
I don't know why I keep away from h2g2 so long. Actually I like it in here. Well, I guess dorm parties were more important to me.
-Party? Can't remember... Well, I did talk to her, but she didn't seem interested in me. That's already long ago and I don't even feel bad anymore.
-So, you are getting married? Then I have to congratulate you, hope you are having a great party and a lot of luck afterwards! And some time to put a green dragon on your intro side!
I also like countryside more than cities. For me already Klagenfurt, my small study city, seems to big. What I really need are tall mountains around me.
-No sorry, I don't do anything exciting like you do with your marriage. There are the usual dorm people I hang around with, and I do choirsinging and really enjoy that. I also plan to really learn hiking and climbing this term in the city. Being strange, that the office of the "mountain-ambulance" is in the place where the mountains are not.
Well, so have fun!
