A Conversation for Does It Work?
Good one!

I like how the ghost calls her "witch" like an insult, but it's also technically accurate.
Did you write this recently?
And I see you already mentioned it to h2g2 Fiction Central. (Sometimes when the h2g2 Post is running low on material, they'll link to new stories from Fiction Central. More readers!)
Now remember, don't post stories on h2g2 if you're thinking of submitting them to paying magazines. BBC owns partial rights to anything you post on h2g2, and publishers act like anything posted on the web is "damaged goods," or at least not as fresh as stories that have never been read by anyone.
I look forward to more!

The way the Post has short-stories in is normally when Peregrin recommends one to be included in the Post - if you remind him, he;s more likely to include one at random.
But yes, I enjoyed reading this - the "day-in-the-life-of-a-graveyard" ending was certainly unexpected from the beginning, and worked well.

Hey! That's a cool story
After reading it critically, the only thing I have to say is that you might want to run a spell check through it. Other than that, all I have to say is that this is the kind of humor I wish I could find more of.
Cheers

I'm glad you pointed that out. I went back and found 4 errors. Now I know to write it into a word-processor, spellcheck it and then retype it for posting. I got this one out of an old notebook. I wrote it with a dictionary by my side, but...
That's why I value input; it helps me to correct mistakes, and teaches me how to avoid them in the future.I'm still stuck with typos and misspellings in my posted replies, though.
Good story, maybe more?

Good story, ex-Rambling... it reads as if it could be part of a series...you could make it one, if it isn't already. As if Jessie and her town and world are well known to you...
Good story, maybe more?

Thanks, Della. Jessie is a reoccuring character for me, and I probably will. I have a lot of fun with her.
