Happy Birthday little !
"a bit small and prices start at around £670,000"
Ohmyword - house prices really are ridiculous.
The Man and I can't really afford to buy anywhere half decent as first time buyers, so we're contemplating moving abroad or buying a narrow boat and living on the canals.
I have to admit to finding that idea romatic - I could pretend I was Lyra from the Amber Knife trilogy and call myself a 'gyptian'.
I'm glad that you had a good time at the Vedanta centre.
I'd like to go there one day.

'a bit small and prices start at around £670,000' - two or three factors coming into play here a) it's a fairly pricey place in any case, b) riverside properties have a premium - I gather that it can be as much as 100% more than one without a river view and c) they were new builds, which I think are generally more expensive than resold houses. We sauntered around as though we were in a position to buy. It felt quite good to be thought the kind of person who might have that kind of money! Well, of course, nothing's impossible!
The Vedanta centre is a neat place, LSF! I've been really pleased with how well little has behaved on the two occasions he's been there. Could be to do with the atmosphere of the place, or the fact that Swami has given him a couple of pieces of chocolate on each visit. Fridays are generally a good time to visit, as Swami gives his audience then.

Hi ZSF
How art thou? And the family?
Thank you for this lead. I actually practised Yoga for 25 years and we had a wonderful Indian Swami in Harare and I went to his classes all the time I lived there.
I shall make contact with these. though I have been unable to stand on my head in the lotus position (which I used to be able to do!!) for some twenty years. But perhaps I could start doing some passive Yoga exercises and of course practise my breating again!!.
So glad you had a good day. of course it was not the chocolate!!. K. always came with me to the Yoga classes when he was small and still pracises Yoga breathing.
'Bye for now.

Gosh, you're up early, AR1 - or is it very late?
Today's the first day back at school for little so it's a bit of a struggle.
I don't know if they do yoga at the Vedanta Centre - we go for the teachings., or more accurately, Roy goes - as we generally go on a Friday, generally I can't make it as I would have to take little out of school to get there, or arrange babysitting for him straight from school. Still, he does seem to respond well to the atmosphere there. The place itself is a lovely house with a lodge in beautiful gardens and it's very well tended. I'm told that often visitors help with the garden and we saw another of the swamis mowing the lawn when we arrived. The hedges are prcision clipped. Very impressive.
I hope you are well, AR!. Lots of

Hi raymondoo! I'm just about to go to bed, and was checking my space. Not sure. Do you still have your password? Might be worth putting something on the feedback site so that one of the <./>gurus</.> can respond. If you don't get it sorted, I'll have a look for you tomorrow.

Dearest Z
Where have you been?
Sadly I am not very well I have been ordered to rest as I have a massively high Blood pressure. I know that it is all the worry with the local SS with regards to my darling K. He is so well, and is very concerned and caring for me. I would very much like to know how one can change one's care manager? this guy is bad for both of us.
With much affection

My dearest AR1
Where have I been? Well, I've been around, however I've been so busy in real life and have felt so frazzled that I haven't been around as much as normal. I have left a couple of messages for you on your answerphone, however I don't know if you have received them. As you haven't replied, I assume that your answerphone has been being difficult. Unfortunately, your e-mail address disappeared when I had that computer crash a while ago.
I'm sorry to hear that you have not been well. Is your care manager arranged by SS? Could you write and ask be allocated to another person?
Do you remember how my RL name is spelled, complete with hyphens? My e-mail is that first name @clara.co.uk

Hi, Al,
I am so sorry to hear you have such high blood pressure. It is such a nuisance as you probably feel OK. I had hoped things had settled down for you now, but it seems theyhasn't.
I would definitely enquire if you could change your Care Manager. If you are not "compatible" to put it politely it cannot be good for you or K, and it is certain to be making the blood pressure worse.
Do take it easy, try and sort out that problem, and jettison anything that isn't essential for a while. Are you on tablets for the BP? I found the beta blockers were a real but I' m now on water tablets which, while a nuisance, seem to be keeping me fairly stable. Mine jumps about like a Jack in the Box.
Take care.

My very dear ZSF.
Thank you for your prompt reply.
I am sorry that I did not phone you back. I at first could not decipher the name. when I did then I could not find the telephone number. I shall try and send you an email Is that to your first name or to your new name.?
I am still feeling quite frail. I shall definitely try and get a new care manager for him. I was totally delighted today. He actually set up the test kit for testing his blood sugar level and did it himself!!. this is such a step forward as he has always totalkly refused to do it. He also went out to the bank and got me some cash and did some grocery shopping for me. I feel tht he is improving so well, and just want HIM to decided when to go. I am sure that he will, but if the SS try to push him, it will be difficult.
a big hug for little

My dear Websailor,
thank you so much for your kindness. It was a very frightening experience because I woke up in the car - I was waiting whilst Keith had his pottery lesson - and felt completely weird and disembodied. I do not know how I managed to drive home from Maidstone to Seven0aks. I took all the back roads and I must say that K. was very encouraging and compassionate. I also think that my guardian angel must have been working overtime!!.
Today I have taken it very quietly. But I realise that my stress levels are really zero. Whether that is because of the High BP, or if the BP makes my stress levels low. I do not know. Yes I take tablets - I was on one called Distiazam for nine years and unfortunately was allergic to them and have had extremely painful hands, and fingers. I came off them and am now on Cozar, but that also has the same effect. I had thought that I would prefer to have High BP and decent hands, but that is not to be.
Where does it come from.? I follow a strict diet, have no smoked for twentyfive years, have not drunk since I came back from France and K. was on the new medication which forbids him to have a drink. my weakness is chocolates but even those I try to avoid.
I gues that it is wear and tear of age!!
good wishes to you and affectionate
