To be honest I can't remember having visited iCan in the last couple of weeks - I've certainly not posted over there recently (in the last couple of months)

I've never posted on iCan. Will my name remain unmoderated?

I've never actually posted on ican either - I just set my location and stuff yesterday...

Oh-oh - this sounds exactly like what happened to Zarquon's Singing . She replied to the moderation e-mail days ago, but I don't think she ever recieved any reply...

ever thought of calling yourself
I am not thee Tony Curtis, but I play on one H2G2
inspired on a late chat program called pow wow with text to speech: one abrivations would say: I am not laywer, but I play one on tv. as joke I made one variation: I am Superman, but I am not Clark Kent.

As far as I can see I'm the fourth person in the last week to get this treatment...

Erm - wonder if ICan actually realise that SSO exists and that not everyone who appears on their software is actually using their site.

Well, I did use their site, to be fair, but to be fair to me, my nickname doesn't seem to contravene anyone else's house rules, and they're more than welcome to just use the first name, surname fields of SSO... And I didn't actually post anything.

Gnomon - time to move on Posted Feb 23, 2005
So it is only 'users' of ican who get their nickname moderated, even if the use is merely to set your user preferences on that site.
I'll certainly be staying away from iCan. Or should it be called iCan't?

Well, if I get zapped we'll know something dodgy's going on- I've never so much as visited the site.

**bells start ringing** - Yup, that'll be it - I remember now, the new filmnetwork site takes information from iCan and displays it on screen (in this case it was my full name), so I changed that about 4 or 5 days ago (which also means that iCan are taking a heck of a long time to check out their moderation queue).

may be you should be Father Christmas on ICan!

J'au-æmne Posted Feb 23, 2005
I just visited the filmnetwork site... I hope this doesn't mean that they'll moderate my name again!
But I didn't think that information was specifically from ican, I thought it was just SSO data...

Galaxy Babe - eclectic editor Posted Feb 23, 2005
I posted a journal a week ago which survived a week, but now the events have moved forward - my journal entry (but not the following conversation) has been removed.
The email says I am condoning illegal activity, which has got me completely flummoxed.
I'm currently having an email conversation with "h2g2 feedback".
