So, what's new about that? I here you ask...
Last minute cheap flight and holiday to get rid of means I'm taking my son to England for a couple of weeks... I'm sure I'll manage to log on from time to time (even if it means using my father's clockwork modem )... In the meantime... have fun and don't do anything too silly (I'll only get jealous)...
Thinks to do and find...
- Fish & Chips
- Indian Restaurant
- Theakstons Old Peculier
- Climbing in the lake district
- Theakstons Old Peculier
- More Indian Food
- Theakstons Old Peculier
- Check h2g2 from time to time
- Sleep
- Vegitate
- Find some more Theakstons Old Peculier

Starting you son on the Theakstons a little early ain't you Whisky m'lad?
Ah, and I miss yet another person as I wing (or more correctly drive slowly and carefully in the hire van) my way to Sunny Dundee!

Ok, so I'm now back at work (as if you lot care!)
Discovered the five year old doesn't like theakston's after all (note to self: speak to his mum coz he can't be mine if he doesn't drink old peculier!)
Spent a fortnight getting gradually waterlogged in the Lake District... riding on steam trains, feeding ostriches & pigs, drinking, eating and occasionally walking (the aforementioned five-year old did actually manage 8 miles and 1500 feet of ascent in one day - so maybe he is mine after all)
Didn't manage to get anywhere near a computer so spent most of this morning clearing out my mailboxes (between them I got over 200 junk mail messages in 2 weeks)
Generally had a great time and didn't want to come back... got off the plane in Lyon yesterday afternoon to be greeted by 40°C + temperatures... maybe being waterlogged wasn't so bad after all.
Oh, and Peta, sorry, I never got anywhere near London this time... flew straight to Manchester, which was in fact quite lucky as the day I flew out on holiday, Lyon airport was absolutely packed with irate people trying to get into Heathrow! (BA strikes etc...)
I'm now officially broke and am going to be living on bread and water for the rest of the month... anyone wishing to send food parcels I'll send you my address

What were ostriches doing on the steam train?
Hope you got a good curry, too. Mind you, good curries are quite rare in the Lake District.

I missed you! Well, I didn't, until I saw your name in the online list, and realised that I hadn't seen you about for a bit.

Of course I missed - how easy do you think it is to hit you when you're not here so that I can take aim?
Now, stand still for a moment...
