The joy he found.
The specially-lined paper. How 'specially-lined', hand ruled?
How very fascinating.

They were specially ruled so that he always knew how many words there were on a page. Something that is pretty easy to work out on a typewriter, but hard if you use pads with different numbers of lines.
I should know how many words a page were written on his lined pads. Many of his manuscripts are archived so maybe, one day, I'll go and count!
How very fascinating.

Ach! I usually start with a legal pad, go through the typewriter, then head for the computer.
How very fascinating.

Well, clay tablets are fun, but they take so long to dry and break and they're so hard to store. My wife keeps mistaking them for wasp's nests.
Key: Complain about this post
How very fascinating.
