h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

The situation is, I've been working on this game for quite a while, but I only get the chance to work on it during the summer holidays, and so it hasn't got very far in the last few years. Unfortunately, I think I'll never finish it on my own, there's too much to do and too little time to do it in. The graphics and physics engine are done, and quite impressive if I may say so, but there's still quite a lot to do. I make no guarantees that it will work on your system. All I can say is it works on mine. You have to have 32 bit colour (not 24 bit) for it work, and the colours will look mad unless your graphics card is RGBA aligned.

If anyone would be interested in helping to turn this game into an actual game over the summer, I can provide more details of what has been done and what remains to be done.

I should add, the prerequisite for working on it is a reasonable knowledge of C++ (I've used some reasonably advanced features of this, like templates, namespaces and extensive use of the STL). (Experience with the Allegro games library would be useful as well, but it's really easy to learn so not essential.)

Need any help with AI?

Yup, there's AI, sound, core engine (less graphics and physics engine), networking (possibly), interface, and so on, still to do.

I'd go in for GUI and any graphics, I'll see what in that link...
