What a great description of Wolverhampton, thank you Mickey!!
Actually, Mickey's comment's tend to be the normal response of people who come to visit the city, whereas the local people tend to be very pessimistic, and generally seem to believe the common myth that Wolverhampton is a very ugly place.
Okay, if you go out of the city centre, you can find some areas that are unpleasant, either socially or visually, but most cities are the same. Even places like Cambridge look a bit scruffy if you go out of the city centre ( I know from personal experience, I was surprised to see a street lined with porn stores in such a supposedly posh place ) I just wish Wolverhampton folk would be prouder of what we have here!!
