You will notice one of the editors (gnomon) is finally weighing in on my article about Indiana. If you get him satisfied, usually the article gets approval and goes into the edited guide.

You might also be interested to note that the chippewas are trying to buy back a small piece of Lansing, Michigan to put in a casino.
The City mayor is 100% for it but the governor, attorney General and neighboring tribes are opposed. This will probably be in the courts for years to come.
I happen to have a copy of the actual legal document here. I thought you might like to here how they describe the purchaser of the property.
This Comprehensive Development Agreement(the AGREEMENT) is made as of January 23, between the City of Lansing...and the Sault Saint Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, a federally recognized Indian tribe.
It is interesting to note they refer to the tribe as indians rather than indigenous people or Native Americans.

by the way, My article on Indiana is the fortieth time that I ran an article through Peer Review. I had my first one before the BBC took over.

wow !! you really are experienced !!
so i am bowing out of peer review
not taking anything personally mind you
just that they seem to be not really all that interested
in the stuff i am looking at in the articles
i actually look for more engagement in a conversation
than i get here at h2g2
and i have actually been finding it
hence i am not here much anymore
not even lurking
amazingly enuf
and i dont even miss it
its pretty sad actually
i was so passionate about this place
so in love with it
but the nasty bullies and whatnot
kept ruining it for me
but
well
nevermind
its over now
nice articles, shagbark
maybe i might feel better later about all this
but not now
(when i first came on here, i made a big deal about towel day and people took umbrage at my clumsiness and it was i guess all downhill after that ...so i laugh everytime i offer someone a towel here)

To make it through peer review you need patience and a tough hide.
Eventually, when you least expect it, some scout will pick it, and a subeditor will take it up to make it ready for the EG.

that was just a blockquote from a government website. Perhaps if I go into http://www.lansingmi.gov/attorney/index.jsp and search around I might find where I got the quote from.

ah ha! and that took place in january of this year 2012...
i wonder what has happened since... in the last 8 months...
ah... http://www.pechanga.net/category/issue-tag/lansing-casino
it appears that someone is trying to block them
i see the establishment is continuing centuries of tradition of not honoring agreements
this is an excellent example of them in action ...how they do it
