Sharks . . . Giant terrors? Or nature's garbage disposals?
Bean Wench Buddha Started conversation Aug 19, 2001
Lately, in my neck of the global woods, there have been many reports of shark attacks. Now, normally, this would not bother me, but there are a few reasons for my awareness of the occurrences.
I recently received my certification to Scuba dive in open water. Upon my certification, my mother, ever the worry-wort, has tried everything, short of putting me in a wheel-chair, to get me to quit diving. She has been sending me all manner of new articles and aerial photographs of the sharks circling - of course, they are just waiting for this tasty little morsel to enter the briny sea.
So, I wonder . . . Are sharks evil beings laying in wait to gobble up poor unsuspecting newby divers? Or are they tools in a Darwinian project, as evidenced by the boy in a coma? (His uncle was shark fishing. The boy was standing waist deep in the water, as the uncle tossed in the chum to hook a shark.)
I guess I will find out next weekend! Tally ho!! Wish me lunch! er . . .I mean, luck! hehe
