h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

My wife and I rent quite a few DVDs and always from the same chain, the only one in which we have kept out membership.

I'm quite happy with the fact that they've been stocking more Brit films and hopfully our patronage of these films will help decision makers keep buying them.

This weekend we watched a horror/thriller (my favorite genre) titled 9ine and a comedy (my wife's favourite genre) Anita and me.

It's like a discovery. I never new the UK made so many movies or that they were this good.

I loved Dog soldiers, finaly a good werewolf movie.

it's a sad fact that most of these films only get a limited release over here in Blighty and that many UK movie goers would not have much of a clue about the UK movie productions (with the exception of a few "blockbusters" such as 'Bend like Beckham' & 'Notting Hill')

you left out Johnny English. The wife and I were ing out arses of over that one.

Dog Soldiers and 9ine show that your film industry are not wanting for special effects.

One thing I have to know. Does "Jesus is comming, look busy" have any meaning besides being a funny thing to be tatooed above the arse of someone passing themselves off as the arch bish of cantubury?

There are many great Brit films. The Debt Collector, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Brassed Off, Mrs Brown, The Full Monty, Little Voice, are some of my favourites of recent years. But there have been numerous others.

Keep looking out for 'em.
