One of my favourite books as well, and TV drama's.
I even wrote my RPR on the similarities between Elizabeth Bennet and her romance with Darcy and Bridget Jones and Mark Darcy.
I loved every single bit of that book

Truly a classic - personally I loved the humour ingrained throughout the book, and I know every one goes on about Darcy, but I'm not sure I've ever come across a better female lead character than Elizabeth Bennett...

Certainly, she's strong, she's clever, she's not one of the frequently soppy gooey female leads, all in all she's a damn good character.

Interesting - did you like Jennifer Ehle so much when blonde? (she was in The Camomile Lawn) or was it the whole package of Elizabeth?
And I worked out why I fancied the socks off Elizabeth's Darcy rather than Bridget Jones's Darcy - brown contact lenses. I LOVE brown eyes.
Amd of course, the two actors were actually in love with each other while filming so the pheremones were flying about all over the place!
Been trying to work out the astrology of the characters - it's fun doing that with TV people...

That was more based on Elizabeth from the book than Jennifer Ehle (I ought to say I almost probably prefer the film version with Greer Garson and Laurence Olivier - now that's a classic!).
To be really honest though, did watch the Camomile Lawn - any series where you can expect either Jennifer Ehle or Tara Fitzgerald to run around sans clothes every episode is a plus in my book (I new I'd end up bringing the conversation down).
* No, no, that's not right!!! - you watched it for the actors - Richard Briers, Jean Simmons, etc, etc - stellar cast *

He had brown eyes in Bridget Jones, it was the hair that worried me...men shouldn't blowdry.
Although the wet shirt didn't have a thing to do with us thinging he was sexy...personally I think he was sexier just after, when he's got dressed and is being nice.
I haven't seen the film version.

It's pretty old - early 40s, I seem to remember. Uses the humour in the story a bit more than the series did - it is excellent though - keep an eye out for it on tv...

I think Mrs Bennet was far too over the top in the series, I mean I know she was meant to be a bit mad but still.

Well stuff-a-duck, did he really have brown eyes in Bridget Jones? I would have sworn they were grey...must have been the hair then.
And the Greer Garson/Laurence Olivier movie is definitely worth seeing. It'll turn up on the TV sure enough!
And I didn't fancy Darcy in the wet shirt either. I'm a sucker for the Regency anyway and the morning dress afterwards when he was being nice was gorgeous.
And I'm a sucker for men in long boots too...
I should be working across on 360...oops!

I dunno, the wet shirt was pretty damn sexy, until you here how the whole thing was done, then the picture of a guy in a wet suit with sideburns stuck to his face, lives with you forever...same as Bridget not doing her own bum work
I didn't realise there were so many differe dna sites untl a couple of weeks ago when I was welcoming newbies.
