A Conversation for Edward Gorey (still in progress)

I know this is still a work in progress, and I hate to blot the page with my conversational thread, but I have this poster...
it's Gorey's version of the ABCs. It's called the Gashlycrumb Tinies and it features 26 children who die in horrible ways--all in alphabetical order. (Such as A is for Alice, who was eaten by an alligator...well, that's not one, but I can't remember the exact wording. Anyway, it's funny, and it's dark, and it's certainly a conversational piece for anyone who comes to my home!

It is my absolute favourite out of all his work. And when I have children I shall pin it up on the nursery wall...
I'll mention it in gruesome detail in the article, promise. 
(Isn't it irksome that you only find conversations like this on the rare occasions you remember to check your entries? Grrr. Glad I found you in time, though.)

I think the Tinies would be a neat thing to have in a nursery/child's room. I would hope any child of mine would have a good, black sense of humor and enjoy it as much as I do. This is necessary to appreciate Gorey's work, don't you think?

Thankyou! And to think I was so dim to wonder what that link did, but not investigate.
I would be ashamed if any child of mine didn't have a twisted sense of humour. It's certainly a major theme in his work- I'll add that to the article.

C is for Cynthia, who fell thru the ice, and
D is for Damien, eaten by mice.

Actually, the first four are:
A is for Amy who fell down the stairs
B is for Basil assaulted by Bears
C is for Clara who wasted away
D is for Douglas thrown out of a sleigh...
I suppose it's no longer worth holding my breath to see if this entry will ever be completed.
