The return of "Can Something Come From Noting?": Part II
Pandora Posted Jul 23, 2000
Did I try what with egoups? What's an egroup? The only time I heard that term was when my FORMERrrrrrrrr boss sent my E to her egroup & I
was swamped with E's from all over the Country! Tell me what to do.
Bet you wish more women would say that

Nothing I find is ever in the last place I look, Pandora. I always check at least one more place for whatever I've just found, just to keep that from happening. D'sat make me daft?
Finally, I found out what it was that made me this way! Thanks.

I've yet to find anything serious on this link--
So it may be nothing---I wonder if something will come of it?
You humans are so silly sometimes--there is no such thing as "no thing"
because once you have named it, it exists.
Lizards can be silly too. But most dont "get it"
Ironically,

As a forum attached to the 'Submitting Entries for the Edited Guide' page this something really ought to become nothing... perhaps later becoming something again somewhere else. Why don't one of you generously offer to host this conversation in your Personal Space. It' rather important to restrict discussions under this page to how to get stuff into the Edited Guide. The more the list of forums is relevant to that the better.

That's bizarre... Still if you'd try again, it would be greatly appreciated. The stange case of misplaced editing may have something to do with the change over to the Peer Review thing. It's unlikely to happen again; but you could make doubly sure by including something like "Hey! Leave my page alone, you pesky Sub-editing rascals you!"

... Because I'm not really interested in this conversation; but I am interested in reserving the forum list under the 'Submitting Entries for the Edited Guide' page for questions on that subject, which I don't think is unreasonable.

Well...then stop fussing! It was all but done until Lady Lizard had her say & then you came along. I'm just a simple Hiker. I really don't give a rat's tail what happens with this forum. But honestly,
if YOU do, then YOU do something about it! It was a 16 year old boy who re-started this long after the topic was drained. And IF you find a way to keep folks on the topic that you're trying to talk about...PLEASE let me know how it's done! No matter what I start, everyone just says whatever they like...even if it's eons away from the topic at hand. (guess that's where free will comes into play) ~Pan

That's one way of looking at it. Another might be that I asked very politely if you would mind helping out... for reasons of your own you choose not to.

I told you that I did try & it was edited! I didn't start this topic. And I'm not going to argue about it. Is there a reason you will not or cannot let this rest? If you can then good, if not why do you feel it's up to me to do something about this forum? I was flip in my last post. Sorry. I certainly didn't mean to upset you. ~Pan

Sorry if I came across a little testy.
I don't want to make a crusade of this thing; it's not really that big a deal. It's just that I've been asked to address questions about Sub-Editing by watching this page. That becomes more complicated if there are conversations taking place that are off topic; and I was concerned that some questions might escape my attention. Admittedly, there hasn't been anywhere near the amount of activity here that I anticipated; so I may have overreacted, for which I apologize. Please don't feel that I was initially addressing my concerns to you personally. All I intended was to ask anyone interested in continuing this thread if they would please relocate to a more appropriate location. Once again, I apologize if, in my zeal (I am new at this), I seemed to be attacking you personally. That really wasn't the case. Pax?

See you around the Hiking grounds. Good luck on sub-editing.
