Beans

Post 1

Hi All
I am a new gardener and this year have successfully grown lots and lots of runner beans. In fact too many for our family to eat. My question is thefore can you eat the mature beans that are inside of the runner beans. They are look so beautiful sort of pink and black? They look very like kidney beans and it would be great if we could use them.

Cheers
Karanhelen

oooooh...perhaps you should ask the general community on this one. I'm sure there is someone on there who would know the answer!!!

Good news though probably too late. Runner beans are best eaten soon after picking, but also freeze well.
