hm... I hope it's not too easy or too hard, I'm not good at telling what it'll look like for anyone who cant see the answer I have written down! I'm hoping this one will look easy but turn out to be tricky.

Light = Sun, Moon, Star and Earth
Walkways= Path, Pavement Balcony and Trail
Weather = Mist, Sleet, Snow and Rain
Cards = Chase, Cut, Clip and Deck

Interesting.
I'm pretty sure one group is
PAPER...CHASE, TRAIL, CLIP, CUT
The other groups seem a bit _too_ obvious, so I feel I'm risking some klaxons, but:
SLEET, MIST, RAIN, SNOW = Types of precipitation
SUN, EARTH, MOON, STAR = Celestial bodies
DECK, BALCONY, PATH, PAVEMENT = Types of concrete promontory
I'm pretty sure that last group should earn me a klaxon, regardless.

bang goes another career...
Right, Mu gets it. It was paper-clip/chase etc, celestial bodies, types of precipitation and although not as specific, I was going with 'places we walk'.
Not obscure enough, I know, I was hoping the crossovers might be a bit more confusing. Bah humbug.
I will now retire in shame to lick my wounds.
