...ok, ladies - be sure to let me know if this "yes smiley - lurk was - oh no, smiley - devil wasn't" escalates to smiley - handbagsmiley - handbag at dawn...

i want to get the ticketing rights for deckchairs in the car-park!

ok, so we've established that smiley - lurk and smiley - devil may have a Thang goin' on - and i think we can now stop short of confirming whether this has involved any exchange of digital fluids smiley - winkeye

phew

I'm sure there wasn't any smiley - handbag involved at any point in the proceedings,

me and lil perfect smiley - angel there is an halo hanging up place here and that is just because they are bit akrward to wear all of the time

unless smiley - handbag is some sort slang, that i don't know about, and has been reported elsewhere, for Astrid smiley - devil and Matt smiley - lurkmight or might not have been getting up too

but as you are offering with the deckchairs, you could put them up for all of us, not in the car park, on the beach, thank you kindly, you are such a love smiley - kiss

*phew* smiley - cool I'll bring ice cream

heheh - no, hopefully there's no (other) hidden meaning to smiley - handbagsmiley - handbag at dawn (so, hopefully, just a variant of 'custard pies', 'waterpistols', etc, etc)

of course, smiley - handbagsmiley - handbag on the dancefloor are an entirely different form of combat - put there to trip up innocent males, so that ladies can catch the flying gentlemen in their arms and impress them with their hidden strength & protective natures

...hang on - i think i may be having a lucid dream!!!

so - deckchairs on the beach, then, is it? certainly madam! will madam be requiring tea and ice-creams** brought over at half-past three, as usual?

** REAL beach ice-creams - an individual block of cornish ice-cream, wrapped in transparent paper and sandwiched between two yummy wafers

Post 45

Peanut

hidden strength, didn't we use that to pling the flying gentlemen, with handy catapaults smiley - tongueout

hope you liked the ice cream, in the two wafers as requested* and not too much the gving back of deckchairs

*settles on the beach, to watch the sun go down, with picnic and lights little fire, I know it is hot but the sun is going down and its time to be starting to think about cooking tea, in batch loads and the fire lasts a night time* smiley - zen

LOL - imagines flying gents decked out with inappropriate shorts (mebbe not inappropriate, in this heat?) getting catapaulted off the dance-floor by ladies with their hidden strength - but i think you meant Denise-the Menise type catapults?

>>> "...time to be starting to think about cooking tea, in batch loads and the fire lasts a night time"

deffo - and wrapping large spuds in cooking foil to drop around the remains of the 'campfire', to be retrieved after a few hours, the centres hollowed out, mixed with cheese & pepper - and possibly some veggie 'bacon bits' - and packed back into their spudskins to be eaten cold for brekkie - mmmmmmmmm - is there a 'licklips' smiley? ... will have to do-> smiley - tongueout

>>> "forgot to ask,do you do cocktails?
As in serving up, not necking back"

of course, madam - shall i break out the cocktail umbrellas, twisty, see-thro' straws and the Maraschino cherries?

well, i guess it's time to head back to the coastal path again...

many thanks for the invite to the evening beach party - great BBQ, 'ice-cream & wafers' to-die-for!

see y'all somewhen

PS apologies about the beach ball !

Post 51

Peanut

it was a naughty smiley - dog and I only had my back turned a minute chasing down a stray cocktail umbrella,

*realises she is talking to herself* will have to take my own deckchair back today then

Post 52

AlwaysLunchtimeSomewhere - "at ALS's restaurant" (thanks DG!)

hah - those pesky umbrellas, ellas? eh? eh?

i decided that walking in this heat wasn't such a good idea - especially when compared to just chilling on the beach, half reading a good book and half listening to the soporific rhythm of the waves on the shore...

oh, ok then JUST listening to the...... smiley - winkeye

all deckchairs gratefully received (*uses returned deposit to buy carrot-cake and lemon&ginger tea*)

...it's a demanding job - but somebody... etc, etc

so - are you still searching for the beachball?

pig in muck

Post 53

Peanut

can't find the beachball anywhere, so either it has found a new home or the smiley - dog got it and killed it, alas poor beachball

mmm, hadn't thought about the carrot cake, next time I might not so lazy and take me own deckchair back

interesting book shaped tan lines there, that's what you get for dozing off, we tried to wake you honest smiley - angel

oh well, beachball likely on it's way to Aberdeen, via the Gulf Stream! (with, or without smiley - dog attached)

dayyum, i shudda said zip bout the deckchair returns - how's a hard-workin beachbum s'posed to make ends meet these days?!?

yes, not too happy about the tan lines - especially since i'm wearing a loose shirt over a T

howaboutthat? - a beachbum who has to keep in the shade!

on a (slightly) related theme, i watched a film on Ketchup t'other evening, called Surrogates - peeps sending androids out into RL to *be* them, while they did the virtual experience thing in the safety/comfort of their own home (maybe you've seen it?)

having a wry grin to myself, as i sit indoors in the coldest room i can find, whilst outside it is blistering - and even my 'virtual' self is chilling on the beach! (albeit, still dressed to the nines, comparatively!)

i seriously hope you're doing something entirely more sensible with your RL ! ...although it seems that unless you've taken your PC outdoors, then you could have some explaining to do smiley - winkeye

have a good one! smiley - smiley

I spent a good chunk of the day in a cool museum, meeting a whole bunch of people, picking up trinkets of gossip and generally finding my away around but for the life of me couldn't spy any smiley - mammoth bones, this could put a right spanner in the works for the MothFest

hopefully they have them out back somewhere smiley - grovel

I seem to have become rather heat intolerant smiley - cross but it is lovely out there now, goes off to look for her book

Post 56

I think you'll find that the International Standard Unit for gossip is the gobbet, not the trinket. As for smiley - mammoth bones they can be elusive little buggers. Have you looked down the backs of sofas?

pig in muck

Post 57

Peanut

smiley - laugh, I suppose now I could step over ropes and look down the backs of sofas or is that getting above my station on my second day, I can cope with idea that they might think I'm odd but above myself that would be awful

a gobbet, of course, trust me to get my units mixed up

one of the best parts of a hot day - make it a good book!

you're off and running? cool - exciting times! ...don't worry, the Moth bones will turn up smiley - smiley

>>> "Have you looked down the backs of sofas?"

don't be diverted from your destiny, peanutty one - bones are definitely to be found down the backs of 'Moths, not the backs of sofas!

you know it makes sense smiley - winkeye
