...no one mentioned St Peters in Rome??? ya gotta be kidding me!!! It is expansive beyond description. When you go inside it becomes obvious how christianity (was that supposed to be capatilzed?) dominated the old world. Take any 'heathen' inside and he or she will likely be inclined to say 'anybody that can build something like this is not to be messed with.
It is so big that it has its own weather. It is not only big but beautiful and functional.
While we are at it, what about the Coliseum? Beautiful from an architectural and engineering point of view.
