"Live at Northampton"... it's two discs.
I discovered the Nields' existence maybe a week and a half ago when I found out my friends were planning to go see them, that sunday night I was dragged out with said friends to the concert, and it was darn good. yah.

You're right - and I knew it, too. I must make sure the entry shows that.
I've been a Nields fan back a long way, to the earliest days, and they've always been great musicians. I've had very limited personal contact with them, but they seem to be terrific off-stage, too.
Peace,
Stephen

Me and my six friends waited to talk to them (just the sisters were chatting) after the concert - Katrina seemed really friendly; Neryssa (sp?) wasn't exactly. Coulda just been a bad day or something.

They're both pretty friendly; maybe Nerissa was tired. Katryna is the younger sister, and a bit more outgoing in general. They're about to record an album of duets - just the two of them - so there may not be much touring for a while. That, and the fact that Katryna had a baby (a girl) several months ago.
Peace,
Stephen

Yup. Katryna had a baby, and Neryssa got a puppy, and they were both sharing their experiences with these two (obviously parallel ) stories.

What scares me when I think back is that Nerissa and Katryna played a gig at the World Trade Center about a month ago.

Very, very late, the revisions have been submitted for updating the entry. When the editors will get through with it is anyone's guess. I waited so long because the band's membership is in flux, and I hoped to get some definite answer before updating. I did not get an answer. Live From Northampton will be added, along with their newest, Love and China (due out tomorrow).
Peace,
Stephen

This entry will get a proper updating - someday. In the meantime, there are the entries for their latest two albums:
Songs for Ameliaself-release, 2003) A brief record of songs for and about Katryna and Dave Chalfant's daughter.
This Town is WrongZoe/Rounder, 2004) Nerissa and Katryna with various backing musicians, including Dave Chalfant and Dave Hower. These are songs inspired by a young adult book Nerissa is writing, currentl;y entitled Plastic Angel, and due to be released by Scholastic in the USA in 2005.

Please ignore the frowny faces in my last post - I must remember not to put a colon and a parenthesis close together!
Peace,
