I'm going to the hospital later today for an internal ultrasound scan. This is in order to check for Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome or PCOS as it is more commonly known.
Despite weighing less than 9 stone when soaked through and having barely any hair on my head and only one occasional stray hair on my face (everyone has them) my hormone levels show that I am a possible candidate for PCOS.
I don't know what to expect really, or what to hope for. Should I hope that my irregular cycles are caused by some other unexplained source, or should I hope that it is PCOS because that is easy and treatable and is something they can potentially *fix*?
I hope I hear back about the results soon. Maybe before christmas.
Oh well. time to put my shoes on, stick my appointment letter in my bag, and go see a librarian about some references!
I might post later, or tomorrow about my experiences at the hospital.

Dang, I hate "female problems." I had huge issues with perimenopause/menopause problems ... just like you mention Deb, and ended up getting an endometrial ablation. Best thing I could have done.
I hope you find the cause of your problems, . Have a loobrush -->
