minichessemouse - Ahoy there me barnacle!

Well, first week of uni is now over, and what a week it has been!

Monday I turned up an hour early and sat for ten minutes in a Human Resources Management lecture for 10 minutes before making a hasty escape! then there was three and a half hours worth of my actual lectures (it was supposed to be four hours, but we got away early) The second and longer lecture involved a giant debate. T'was fun. Then Monday evening there was a pub Quiz, we made a team of five from the Psychology Society and another dude. Got 44 out of 80 Must do better!

Tuesday I had an hour lecture then wound up hanging around with my third year friends for quite a while. We had our unofficial first Psych Soc. meeting, then the boys decided to watch the football and I walked myself home.

Wednesday was the Freshers Fayre all day. I was flitting between the Circus Society and the Psych Soc. tables for most of the day keeping folks company I was helping Stevie make paper hats to give to folk who signed up for the Psych Soc. (we wrote 'We mess with your head' on them) it was a LONG day. Stevie did comment that I must have been the only first year who was there for the whole day. In the evening on Wednesday I wandered down to the Circus society with Dave then Stevie and I ran away to other things that were happening at the same time. A student discount night in one of the big shopping centres and then to the science centre that had an open evening.

Thursday I was in at 9am (too early I say!) for a 2 hour practical class. We didn't do much though. That was All I had. Hung around in town for an hour while the third years had their lecture then had lunch (curly fries) in the union with Dave, James and Stevie, then 6 and a half hours vanished while Stevie, Dave and I played Guitar hero. We don't know where the time went! we may have landed up having dinner in the union . . . (they have curly fries!) we hatched some hairbrained schemes which shall be implemented in the next few months smiley - evilgrin.

Today I had an hour lecture and quite handily bumped into Dave and James just as I left the uni. We had a look at the Poster sale (well I pretended to look) then Dave and I went to mini Tescos to get some essentials. The plan for tonight is Scouts for myself and Dave, I will try not to be so scared of the Dark and Scary park on the way home this time (took rather a detour last week).

I think there are even plans for much of the weekend. I think there's a party on Saturday and I have a Climbing session on Sunday smiley - somersault.

Next week will be even busier at uni as Tutorials and seminars start for all my modules. Hopefully I will settle into something resembling a routine soon.
