minichessemouse - Ahoy there me barnacle! Started conversation Dec 7, 2008
far too many trains were involved in my week! Las Sunday i went to falkinrk (via Edinburgh) and then on Wedneasday i went to somewhere just outside Edinburgh, and then yesterday i was in Stirling. i was also trusted by my friend Kris to get the bus form his to the Stirling train station on my own
I dont have much planned for this week, just have a few things to hand in or collect from uni, i officially finish on the 19th Dec, but think i am heading in the general direction of the land that the internet forgot on about the 17th, i am taking my time getting there though as i will be possibly staying in Stirling and Glasgow on my way.
i still have to buy <bleep.ing christmas presents for people! i cant find the things that i do want to buy, but hopefully Glasgow will prove more erm fruitful as there are lots more shops there and i know where they are! There is also the christmas market which is always good for a look even if i never actually buy anything from it.
Still waiting to hear back about wheter or not the new shiny has been approved, but all being well i shuld have it by the end of January.
I think that is everything i was going to say!

You might leave it running, but it goes on standby, so your eyes close eventually.
Goodnight mini - .. Sleep tight

i need telling to go to sleep, especially when i am trying to reset my body clock, although i have started waking u0 a little while before my alarm goes off in the morning, so that is good. now all i need to go is make sure my routine does not slip over christmas.

yeah, but it has taken me the best part of a fortnight to get my sleep pattern sorted, so during the holidays i will be getting up at eight, whether i need to or not!

My sleep pattern is all over the place. My problem with sleep is that I find it very hard to get to sleep and I find it very hard to wake up.

My dad spent over 30 years getting up for work at 6.00am.
He's now been retired for about 18 years - and has managed to alter his routine to get up at 6.30am! By 7am he's been down to the local shop, bought the paper, and is sat at the kitchen table reading the news with a nice fresh !

When Dad retired, he stopped wearing a watch. When he went to Australia a couple of years back, he borrowed one of my brother's and set it to GMT so he knew what time it was here when he phoned.
He still wakes up at 7am regardless.

I am interested on the variety of sleep patterns and the problems people have with sleeping.
All my life I have only needed to have fiive hours sleep a night.
It is important however that I eat correctly before I go to bed. I do not sleep during the day, alth0ugh I now find that I drop off without even realising that I have, and I find I have missed practically all of !Have I got news for you! or one of my other favourite programmes.
I have always woken up early - and love the early morning.
Mini I am worried about you and not sleeping. Sleep is absolutely essential. Just check wht you eat before you go to bed. If you like to stay up until midnight, do so but try and get up at seven or eight That gives you a good seven hours sleep.
I also say that I never dream. I probably do but I never remember my dreams.
With affection.

Good morning Christiane, I tend to be able to survive on between 4 and 8 hours sleep. this morning i have woken up after five and a half hours sleep, and i feel fine. I now need to do some work for uni.

Very dear Mini,
Well you are doing extremely well my dear,e
Just try and gt into a routine, and try not to eat a heavy meal before you go to bed. I know that I can neer eat cheese at night . Otherwise I cannot get to sleep. I have unfortunately had to give up even a little glass of wine because it makes my heart go BOOM BOOM.!
I am certain that I have reached this ripe old age (always thinking that I was very healthy!!) because I have managed to have five hours of unbroken sleep. Mind you this morning I have already had 40 minutes (winks) during the morning. But I think it is because of my other cardiac problems.
I look forward to you fine tuning your body so that you can get the sleep your require and enjoy every single miute of being awake.
So keep well, and much success with your Christmas shoping.
With much affection
Christiane

well unless its vegan cheese i am not allowed it anyway.
actually i had a chocolate bar earlier and am suffering the consequences already (how much milk is in a toffee crisp?) and am not a happy mouse, it is however entirely my own fault, so im going to sleep for an hour and see if that helps any.
