hah, don't get me started about all the ads i hate, and will actually change the channel to get away from. Old Navy. every single one of their ads has sucked. every one. that's the worst of the bunch but there are others. some on the other hand seem to actually put some thought into it and can be entertaining.

so much, in fact, that i've vowed never to buy anything from Old Navy ever.

It an add has informed me of something I may be interested in, by which I mean look at me wouldn't you like to try some? instead of the usual gaff, which from my point is that If i see an advert for somthing I'm less likly to buy it.

and then there's the ones where you're not quite sure what it is exactly they're trying to sell...

well I try to find out what they sell so I make sure I don't, but other than that BBC one and two always get my vote. smiley - biggrin

always thought it was strange that channels advertise themselves. even stranger when they do it for *other * channels.

...makes you wonder what their thought process was on that, although it makes sense for radio stations to mention the channel every once in awhile as you don't necessarily know what you're listening to.

'twas probably in preparation to have 100s of channels, although on the radio they mention the Hz Frequence on TV they don't go 'This is BBC one 174Mhz to 176Mhz' because tring to tune thoughs in on my PC is a real pain, because of the bad reception, but I'd still like them to be tuned in right so that when I get the airel fixed, They will just work.

i'll complain about an ad for any reason-- bad singing, poorly thought out, amusing sub-messages(this candy causes hallucinations), bad camera work, anything atall.

oh, have you heard? Disney(who else would do it) is releasing 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame II'. apparently it's all about an evil guy stealing a golden bell. they've porbably left in the singing dancing gargoyles(hah, named 'Victor' and 'Hugo' if i remember) and of course left out any attention to the *actual plot* of the original. gripe gripe gripe.

could they have made a worse choice, though? wait-- i'm picturing 'Disney's 'Metamorphosis'' with everybody dancing around and singing silly songs... have you ever read the *original*(i think- it was in a book of Grimm Brothers stories, i think.) Little Mermaid? ends very differently and there are some *ahem* 'minor details' they left out. i'm sure if they just *tried* they could even find something that's already happy and rated g that they could do justice to, it's just that they don't for a lot of these. 'Aladin' on the other hand they did a pretty good job with. there may be major discrepancies still(been awhile since i've read it) but the overall story is basically similar.

Yes but it's still your basic Disney film, OK life to Sh*t life to More than happy life. sorry at least the ones I know don't go like that. Although Lion King was pritty good and I've never read to book (if there is one)
