A Conversation for Themed Lego - 'Star Wars'

You mentioned some "vending-machine" sized kits. I scoured the Earth and found a tiny model of the X-Wing, TIE Fighter, a Star Destroyer, and the Millenium Falcon. They are all icons of the original movie, small enough to be affordable, and not a headache to piece together. It is just enough to send me back to 1976 or 1977 (Star War's release date), and remember how innovative the movie was. The movie had an overpowering influence on my sad little life, and hanging these little models in my personal area of my (not my) house gives me quiet and simple pleasure.

I've been collecting these little kits as Toys R Us have been selling them cheap of late. The annoying thing is that there are some models that you can only make by buying multiple packs. Like the Y-Wing for which I had to buy some rubbish bits from Episode 1 to get the central body and left 'jet'.
