Ohmagod
someone who has successfully made science interesting.. are you a teacher?
you should be, you remind me of my a-level chemistry teacher called Dr Parsons, who made us run around the classroom, stand on desks and pretend to be attoms!....its not you is is Dr Parsons?
this was also in between trying to see if the acid that we had been given would burn Daves Hair off right before our very Eyes!!
(please note that no animals or people were hurt during tonights performance! shame)

No, I'm not a teacher (thought about it though) and I'm sure I'd remember making you run around the classroom pretending to be an atom so I can't be Dr Parsons!
It's not the science that's boring anyway, it's the teachers!!! Actually, I had a great chemistry teacher too, but he always thought twice about telling me how to make explosives just in case I tried it.

yes i seem to recall lads in my class attemting to make bombs out of chemicals and random apparatus that they managed to sneek past the teachers.
i don't think it helped that they attended the local air cadet scheme.
that just seemed to encourage them to attempt to blow up rabbits.
Explosions and stuff - that's why I got into chemistry anyway...

Cool and chemically correct too! Should have known you'de be an organic chemist - physical chemist's just don't crack jokes do they?! I'm also an organic chemist - I'm starting my PhD in september, and looking forward to it. Your fast reaction stuff sounds really cool and I'd be interested in finding out a bit more about it. Any journal publications I could look up?
