A21558189 - Harold Ross - part 2: the man

I see this needs a drop of polishing, and possibly an explanation. Harold Ross is one of those unique and unbelievable characters you don't meet very often, and I didn't think that his bio entry, which focuses on his history, or his editorial entry, which focuses on the magazine, quite did him justice as an individual or explained what it was about him that created such strong feelings in people.
Of course, I'm no longer qualified to really know if they do or not, since now I see everything about him steeped in his personality. But it seemed that way, so I wrote this.
If nothing else, it's an indulgence of my interest in eccentrics.
I wonder what I did with the anecdote about snoring in church...? </>

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
