There's lots to do around h2g2! You can read and write Guide Entries, post in your Journal, join clubs and communities, have a few drinks in a pub, join spirited debate, or just make some new friends!

If you ever want to talk to a Researcher, just click on their name. That will take you to their Personal Space, and you can leave them a message there (like I'm doing now!) by clicking on the 'Discuss this Entry' button.

Most importantly Tallorder, have fun! You might find yourself meeting some great new friends! I know I have!

Shea - thanks for that kind welcome. Good here, innit!

There certainly seem to be a few things going on about the place. I shall have to undertake a good long explore at some point - I'm sure there's a home for a wandering fool with diverse interests such as myself.

I think initially I will be making spurious journal entries - mainly about the absurd state of British politics. Doubtless I'll veer off of that and wander into something else when the time is right. I'm buying a flat at the moment, that's a rich vein of comedy, tragedy and pathos in itself!

I must say it's jolly forward thinking of the good old BBC (or Auntie Beeb as she's known over here) to step in behind this worthy venture. She's not known for great streaks of innovation, although she has got a oar in the whole digital TV revolution that's slowly taking place in the UK.

It's good to hear that you're enjoying h2g2! And it's very cool that you're going to start writing Entries! It took me a while to get up the nerve to do it, and they accepted my first one! Then I was kicking myself for not starting sooner!

I'm glad the BBC stepped in to save h2g2. I can't imagine being without it! It's the best place I've found on the web, and I really feel I've found a "home" here! I'd hate to lose it!
