*starts cooking up a pot of Christmas mush*

That's funny all the other women in my life want diamonds.

Do you take your mush with sugar or honey?

We still have hours to wait here - which is good since we're having 30 in-laws over, we need all the time we can get!!! Then 20 or so of my family on Christmas!

How will you be celebrating this year?

Sadly by being idle and not answering that question for more than a month smiley - erm

A distant memory except for all the toys that stab my feet as I walk through the house. Those hard plastic tiny Barbie shoes are killer! You can't see them but they bring tears to your eyes when your half asleep and staggering to bed in the dark. But you have boys so your toy nightmares are probably different.

How is Tasmania? Beaches or camping or jungle or a family visit?

So are you still washing dishes by hand?

Take care.smiley - smiley

Matchbox cars and lego are really hard on the feet too. smiley - bigeyes

Tasmania is beautiful. It was more of a drive visit. You really need to drive around Tasmania to see everything, and the dishes are being diswashered as we speak. Mustn't damage my delicate hands smiley - winkeye

How are you?

Going through a tough time. My Mom has been diagnosed with cancer and the doctors say 1 month to 3 months, so they are going to try a new kind of chemotherapy. 4 straight days of it then 30 days off, then repeat. She starts tomorrow.

We're driving over to their house shortly, it's difficult living an hour away.

I hope to get to Tasmania and the rest of Australia someday. But Ireland and England come first. Maybe when Ellie is about 9 or 10. Is there a bridge or ferry to Tasmania?

Glad to hear you may still win the Ms. Australia hands competition.

It was good to see your note when I had this chance to pop on h2g2 for a minute.

She finished her first 4 treatments and is very positive at how she has held up. Her worries were that it wouldn't work (we'll have to wait on the tests this week) and that it would make her too sick to enjoy her remaining time. But the new chemo technique seems to have lessened the nausia and exhaustion that usually accompanies chemo-therapy. So it was a good first week.

Thanks for your thoughts.smiley - biggrin

(hey nice hands you have there!)
