I haven't either, but I've nothing agains't watching movie mushiness!
Especially when it concerns Nicole Kidman!
I did enjoy Moulin Rouge and I actually saw it at the theater. Since the baby was born, that's been a rare thing and we love movies!
Video is not the same thing!

Eh, I know the whole movies/baby story. 
Video is a lot more convenient, but no, it's not the same. It's cheaper though, which is a definite plus, particularly when you have small kids.
I haven't seen Moulin Rouge Yet. Mr.SMoB isn't into chick flicks, and I want to talk one of my female friends into keeping me company through it.

Australia doesn't have second run movie theaters?
(about 2 months after a movie is released it gets re-released
at $1 shows - which now cost $2)
Moulin Rouge is a double-chick flick: a love story and a musical!
But I got to pick the next two movies!!

Erm, well, we don't precisely have second-run theatres. We have normal theatres, and we have independant theatres, which either fun the same shows, or re-release 'arty' sort of films, or run films that are at other cinemas that have been out for a while. They ARE cheaper, but um, well, not $1 or $2 or anything like that. Of course, the way that the Australian dollar is, you could probably see them for $1US
I haven't been to see a movie since Harry Potter.

That was one of the two movies I chose, the other being "Lord of the Rings" (of course)! My wife wants to see the Oscar nominated movies every year, so there may be a wave of movie viewing coming up.
Are your kids movie going ages? (and do they have this addiction to mush-torture their mom has?)

We took them to Harry Potter, and Mr.SMoB took them to Monsters Inc. They love movies.

Monsters, Inc. was recommended to me very highly.
But then I still haven't seen Toy Story 2.
I love children's movies and books (illustrated).
So if someone sees a good one they usually call me up.
I do own videos of every Disney animated film
and hundred's of children's books,
all this before we even knew we could have a child!
If I ever get myself going I have outlines for quite a few
illustrated books to write myself,
hopefully before Nathalie is too old herself to enjoy them!
