What kind of job? Not that I have one... Neither one to give nor one that earns me any money. Funny how one spends so much time working anyway, isn't it? And are jobs not just an oppressive means of the alliance between church and capitalism, designed to keep people from finding out what they want to do by themselves ...?

To be honest, anything, I've just finished a kind of IT course, so that kind of thing would be nice-ish.

Yeah, okay, you're right about the oppressive means etc. etc. Unfortunately, they're also an oppressive means of giving me money, which, damn them and , people just won't do unless I do some work for them. However, joy of joys, since I posted that message I've heard that I have an interview in London in a couple of weeks time. Huzzah.

So if I get that, I can move to the Great Sludge and work to bring down capitalism from its European base!

My interview is next Wednesday (13th), thanks for asking, and I've since had other "expressions of interest"(but nothing so concrete as an interview or offer of work), so with any luck I should be in employment by July, which my bank would be pleased about.

Are you German (my guess is you are - actually, scratch that, it's not a guess any more - I've just checked your book recommendations), or are you in Berlin for some other reason? My degree was in German, so I spent a year in Essen a couple of years ago. And, if you don't mind my asking, why's your page not working?

Last question first: my page is not working (and no, I don't mind your asking at all - it gives me an excuse to complain) because it consists of a German quotation. Which seems to be a problem and irritates me more than it probably should . I hope that they have a germanophone person on this Community team who will find out it is harmless if weird and contains neither satanic messages nor pornographic material and put it back on. Until then I will feel extremely discriminated.

I have never been to Essen - was your year there any good? To me it's just one of the towns you never get to see withot a special reason - not famous enough to make you think you have to see them(like Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne or even Heidelberg), not sounding awful enough to raise your interest (like i.e. Castrop-Rauxel).
But I am just in Berlin for a stage, so I guess I should not be throwing any stones, small as they may be.

If I was able to give you a job, I would. This is the best resume I have ever seen...
