The beginings of an entry I am struggling with.
I'm trying to use this 'humerous' example to lead in to a short discussion of the meritocracy in the education system, but can't really get a rythm going.
Help please!

Hmm, I see where you're aiming at, but I don't know anything about your education system, so can't really say much. I'd suggest though, that the mere possession of a highlighter doesn't qualify as such, I guess it's the usage of it, mabye even in different colours, that do. You could mention the negative effects that praising the form has on children. I remember well when my son did the tests before school, and it was immediately criticised that although he had done the required tasks, his painting hadn't stayed within the given lines. I couldn't quite believe it when I heard this criticism. Two years on, and he really gave his best to write his homework neatly - and the teacher mocked about his scrawl in front of the whole class. Guess how he writes today. Oh, and here, it's usually the girls who get best marks for this sort of work, because they adorn texts with little drawings, write neatly etc. Hmm, I'll come back when I can think of more.

Gee! Great idea for a testable hypothesis!
It shouldn't take a large sample size to get a meaningful survey result. Perhaps there IS a corrollary between highlighting and academic success It may a bit harder to get good intelligence scores than merely grades; but the result would still prove interesting!

This looks like the basis of a short and humorous piece, though I'm not sure about the title. Are you still working on it?

I propose that this go Back to Entry as what has been written is fiction, honest, and the author has ed. Very funny, though.
