Hi, I'd like this entry edited. It's a great country to visit and the experiences contained within are representative of a general holiday over there. Take a look and see what y'all think!

Definate potential However, at the moment, it wouldn't make it into The Edited Guide. Entries for the Edited Guide need to be in the third person. Do not get the wrong idea, this is a great start, with loads of good tips. I would like to see a bit more on the descriptions of the place, giving a bit of the atmosphere, but that is a personal opinion Maybe a bit on the currency, the Roman ruins (if you went), the desert itself, how to get there and the authorities would be good too, but that may just be me If you need any help, just yell, and I will do what I can Until later....

I agree, there is a lot of potential. Ford, my advice is to work on the texture of the details. Describe the Saraha to *show* that is spectacular. How do people dress? What is scent and taste of the street food? How does one say hello in Tunisa? It would be interesting to read about the details of possible encounters with the nice and not so nice Tunisians. Tell us about interesting things to buy that are not cliched. But most of all keep working on this because a lot of people will find Tunisia interesting to read about!

I found it worth a read. But you mention Medina traders a lot, without describing why you found them unpleasant or what they were doing so far from Medina.
The more details you can get in about a visit to Tunisia in general, the better. What's the airport like? What's the big city like? Sure, alcohol's allowed, but do I have to haggle with a Medina trader to get some, or can I walk half a block to the nearest bar?

Medina - As well as being an actual town, I think it also means Old Town, so a fair number of cities in North Africa and around the Arabic Mediteranian have medinas. Of course this could be a whole pile of crap I am talking, but I saw it on Two's Country, so I reckon it must be true Until later...

Strange that the songs played should exclude "Funky Cold Medina"! Oh, and Malta, which isn't all that far off the North African coast, also has a city called Mdina.
Apart from that...
Fun as this entry is, I don't think it's yet anywhere near being a valid "definition" of Tunisia for the Edited Guide. It doesn't say where it is (seriously, some people are really geographically challenged!), nor does it give any information about the country other than a few tourist tips - and even those apply to most of the region, if not the entire developing world too.
The penultimate paragraph just isn't a sufficient sop to my enquiring mind - though I'd love to know which of the three vices are banned during Ramadan! You don't have to be definitive, but for me it would be an insult to any country to sum it up in travel cliches. Sorry.

This article isn't suitable and appears to be the author's only post to the guide - I move for a move to the writing workshop - any seconders?
