h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

In 1983 April 19 Nae-Kanea give birth to a bouncing baby boy in Duaita,Bong county the center of Liberia.As the first born the boy was attended to acording to the tradition of his people with a tribal party that day.Every one that was connected to the Cammue's family was invited to feast with both families.

I was given the name Madison .Mangodougbo Cammue by my father Mr. George Y.Cammue,and this name was announce in the public by the elders of our town.With in one week time i have fullfill my traditional vows,after my circumcision my parents move to Monrovia.I live and grow up in Monrovia on Lynch Street for the next eight years before the Liberian civil war.

What i know about my home town has been arrange in a way that have thought me the rich culture heritage of my people.Am from the Kpelle tribe in Liberia.
During the tribal war the protector of my home town were stone!I hope this does not sound crazy but that was the one that save my great grnd ma from been kidnap by others warriors from near bye town.

Oh great one the deliver of your children from the enemies of mankind,we come to you for your undefeated protection.'That was my great grand mom narration of how the Rock is provote to move by words.As the last word slip out of Gorpodolofunfun,the last succeesor of the protector of the Grove.The giant size Rock stood up and starts to go around the entire Town of 175 houses! It move with a strenght that no other towns around my home town have witness yet.Every male of fighting age were gather outide in the town square and the women and children were in door before the ceremoney.

Normal my grandma would say that it is coming,with that signal the whole town was in silent for the death that is going against our enemies.We cry for them.She say,'only for the kids and not warriors that kidnap our friends women as wives.For about 2 to 3 hours later the speed of the Rock everything become normal as before.

With in these time the town chief and the other authority in the town will make show the town have enough food and herbs to treat any citizen.
For the pass two century my ancestors have live with Rock as their Protector.

The next sacred activities to happen there was the coming of Christianity by the Baptist in the late 19th century.Again the town was bless with the building of Bible Mission.The church open the fisrt Bible school there.The Baptist aim was to reduce the thinking of Koree(the ROCK) in the people.

With the intervention of the Baptist in religous activies the worship of Kornee was brought to an end in Duaita.A time my great grand mother had wish for.
Today Duaita is proud to be associated with the development of Kokoyah district in Bong county,Liberia.A place that i miss during my child hood time.
