Got a 2:2 on my degree (social science), not as bad as I had expected. Best comment was on my dissertation (which I wrote in 5 days), "clearly you have put a lot of effort into this, for which you shall be commended". Snigger. :D
Still, I can happily put that result on my CV, and claim I work well to deadlines :P And as the course leader pointed out, I can claim that my degree comes from the 10th best uni in the UK. While I studied at Blackburn University Centre, the degree is validated by Lancaster. So technically it's true :P
Quite pleased with that, need to email a few people and let them know, but for now, a few games of Dota 2 and relaxing. Going to collect my copy of dissertation tomorrow morning (need to print out a copy and bind it to swap it with). Then I'll be heading home (woo, trains).

Well done!
ps After you have finished partying - how about writing a word or two on a topic related to your dissertation for peer review.

Because my dissertation was awful :P
I did it on the representation of minorities and females, the issues of adapting from the source material, and the casting/production of Cloud Atlas and Star Trek Into Darkness. Needless to say, STID was bloody awful about it and Cloud Atlas had it's problems but was a lot better. There was quite a lot I should have done in it that I didn't, not sure I could really produce anything acceptable for the guide on it though.
Still, it's helped me with writing my book so that's cool too.

The source material - would that be the novel for Cloud Atlas and the screenplay (?) for Star Trek Into Darkness. So you would have assessed both the source material for representation of women and minorities and the finished films. Sounds quite complex.
What are you going to call your book?

Congrats on your Desmond, my marks for this year appear to have disappeared, which is slightly off-putting but I shall wait and see.
Thankfully my course doesn't have a dissertation, for which I am monumentally glad (it's the last year where this is the case)

Yeah, Cloud Atlas was book to film. Star Trek was the original series to the films. That was trickier to do as it's a change from TV to film, so there's all sorts that affect it. Whereas cloud atlas was one book to one film they've only done twp star trek films, so they might still be developing some of the characters. Although it's still a pretty bad film for showing people well and some of the comments made by writers/producers are just nuts.
Book title is currently "Fragments, United: Humanity Gradient" but I'll not sure on it. Wonder if it sounds a little silly and not informative enough. Mind you, I have a ton more work to do on it before I need to settle on a title.
I have an electronic copy of my dissertation which I could put online, not sure I want to embarrass myself that much though. :P I can certainly consider it though.
I studied a mix of politics, economics, sociology, psychology and then a research module (which was hideously dull).
Disappearing marks? That's no good!

There was definitely a lot of really interesting stuff in it. I'd recommend it.

Well I hope they disappear everyone's (if I didn't have my sister's wedding on Saturday!, I'd ask)
If not, then that means they've pulled my modules for external moderation, but I assumed that would happen on a pro-module (or at least, pro-school (I do a Joint-honours)) basis
7th July is the deadline for marks - about 7 weeks after most exams are finished

Wow, that seems really late. Although I've been finished for a while (weird schedule that Lancaster force Blackburn to follow), so maybe it's just me!
