18 mindmaps done!

16 pages for biology left, that just leaves physics which may be slightly more tricky. Seeing as most of it I don't know.
The revision for computing appears to be working though. We had a mini quiz type thing in out computing class the other day and I got most of them right, I quoted one nearly word for word from the book and got one of the "difficult" ones right.

TRiG (Ireland) A dog, so bade in office Posted Apr 24, 2010
A chap came to our school once and got us all to read a short non-fiction passage, then to turn it over and draw a mind-map of what it said. Then he got us to read another, turn it over, and draw a bullet-pointed list of what it said.
Then he told us, Almost everyone here will have found one of those exercises far easier than the other. Mind maps suit some people; lists and bullet points suit others. Pick the one you find easier to work with, and stick with it.
This was actually a revelation. Looking back, it seems strange, but I actually felt that I'd been suddenly released from the tyranny of mind-maps. I'd never liked them, but I'd been told so many times that they were the best way to learn, so I'd tried and tried. I've never used one since. Wonderful.
TRiG.

I agree it is annoying when people tell you how to work, yet some people are so insistent on telling you what is right. I find it odd, why not let the person decide what is right for them?
My mum kept saying why not try using different colours for headings/etc. But then I have to put one pen down, pick up another, write a few words, put pen down, and find another one Besides, I'd probably loose the pens.
My handwriting is too bad to do a mindmap neatly anyway, I can never get stuff to fit on the page.
