keep bumping it till someone replies huh?
anyway, we (the dutch that be) use standard rizla papers with much the same size as you do, i haven't actuall measured one, but i'm sure it's the same. we do have some different brands besides rizla: mascotte, samson, etc etc.

oh and one more thing: rizla blue is rice paper and has some very different burning characteristics to "normal"rolling papers. so they are not just thinner

Well, you needn't be worried about blowing your own trumpet. As it says, /anybody/ may post an entry for Peer Review or on the Writing Workshop, and this includes the writer as well, so there!

As to waiting for a response... did /you/ see all the other postings which were created in the meantime? Did you respond to any of them? It's a thing of give and take, I'd say smiley - winkeye

Thanx for the comments Bossel,

Thogh I did boost a rather flagging entry on the bystander effect, and also went and compiled another entry on fairtrade which is also posted here!

You didn't have anything to contribute to my entry tho?

*puzzled*

Well I'm afraid -no smiley - sadface I was rolling my own cigarettes a while ago, but didn't spend that many thought on the paper. You could check your spelling of 'cigerettes' and 'preperations'. I could contribute a silly game though: set up a paper in upright position (ie: it will stand if you keep it folded at a right angle), then set it on fire. After it has burnt down half way, the rest of the paper will start flying...

aybe I shud also add the the bit about rizla aeroplanes as well, you know you put a couple of ingenious folds in, and put it on the end of your finger and push it around like a propeller!!!

Ignore the upright, rizla, burning trick. I just made an irremovable, black mark on my table top. Great entry though.

Oh, and you haven't mentioned Liquorice Coated papers. Rizla do them in an orange packet.

Keep on rollin'

Here in L.A. CA USA, one of my favorite cigarette papers is the wonderful "Randy's" wired rolling papers. This nifty squarish paper has a thin metal wire built into a closed fold in one edge of the paper. As the paper burns you reveal the wire, which acts as a handy dandy cigarette holder! That Randy is a genius!smiley - magic

Hi smiley - smiley

A use for cigarette papers that you may not of come across: Although I don't smoke, I make sure to always have a supply of Rizlas, for my flute and especially my piccolo. Keys can get damp, and then don't work properly; a Rizla, folded in half and inserted under the offending key, which is then pressed down, dries them out nicely. I've also used them on a clarinet.
