I'd just like to say that if any of my friends here were thinking of going and seeing the new movie "Australia" starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman, please don't bother.

Save your money, or buy a hamburger instead.... unless you really like outdated cliches and films which purport to be historically accurate but are in fact NOT historically accurate.

Try and find "The Dish" instead, or "The Castle". "The Dish" IS historically accurate (with elaborations and good humour), whereas "The Castle" is just plain funny.



n.b. I actually haven't seen it yet as I'm still in China, but several family members and friends have gone and, according to them, it was a complete waste of their time and money.

The best things about this new H2G2, is that I can reclaim my original U, which the Beeb wouldn't let me do because it didn't like the answer I gave to my "Secret Question" when I forgot my password.

How have you been?

It's good to be back, Evangeline, and I hope you're well.

I am very well and I've updated my PS spiel to give a bit more of an idea of what I've been up to recently. Specifically, at present I am dealing with a 3.5 year old daughter who has a broken leg and trying to help my wife with our 11 week old son - and flat out at work which is why this will probably be the only post for a while.

Your Majesty - I'm back in the sense that I reclaimed my original U and have decided that I will try to post now and then (this being one of the "now"s, but I cannot be sure when the next "then" will be). Good to see you back, maybe we'll have to catch up for a drink or 2 at some stage.
