(this is mainly a technical entry..but i wanted to know if the GuideML as well as everything else was acceptable for the guide.(I used the BOX tag because it seemed the only way to make my entry look (exactly) like existing entries, but then on the GuideML guidelines page it didn't include BOX as an accepted tag?))

well i couldn't get further than the first paragraph of your entry.
sorry for that
i just find it incredibly boring. don't take this as an insult! not even as criticism! i am convinced that your entry is very valuable to the guide.
now onto the style of the thing. now this IS criticism, even though i can't write GuideML for a bit. you say it looks like other postings. it doesn't. it has way too much of those spiffey paragraph marker line things. it's text comes different on my screen, different size, maybe even different font, but i aint shure of that. i wouldn't know one font from another really.
so.
don't feel offended.
i meant to be constructive
cheers schurem

Thanks, I remain unoffended. I'm well aware of the dull-ness of the entry. I do plan to add amusing entries (at least they will attempt to amuse), but I also wanted to provide important and practical info. This particular entry is entirely practical, with no thought to interesting people who aren't drawn in by the title.
As to the formatting, do you mean the text in orange as the paragraph separators? or just the blank space between paragraphs? The different font is a special font used more or less exclusively for quoting programming-language related information. It has it's own format so people can visually tell a keyword (or piece of source code) apart from ordinary words. This is actually fairly standard in the computer-related sections of the Guide, as well as the wwweb in general
Thanks for the feedback!
