Well, it's not my FAVORITE; in fact, I think it's a bit on the predictable side, but every time I watch it I cry at the end. Even though I know what's going to happen, and actually picked the ending the first time I saw it. Anyway, the end of Armageddon is great for a good cry.

I really hated this film. Too gung-ho america, The comedy russian bordered on racism and teh plot was dire. The aerosmiths ong was even substandard. I like tripe and bad movies but this one was beyond reproach.

Yeah, but he *was* the best goddam driller there is wasn't he? hahahahaha. bloody terrible film.
Aerosmith suit that film down to the ground too, i.e. utter bilge.

Yeah, and as contract dictates he did get to wear a dirty vest. Don't be too hard on aerosmith, they've done some good stuff. Not recently mind.
The film sucked. I was hoping tehy's mount tehir blue collar rescue and arrive to find out that the russians and ESA had got together and fixed it already.

now bruce willis and his dirty vests are great. we all know that. but aerosmith man... work of the devil. they invented rap-rock then carried on making weak ballads. bizarre

I always have a soft spot for rockers. I always say, Aerosmiths best song was Shut up and dnace, even though Cryin was ok. But the otehr ballads are tripe.

I don't know Aerosmith; I am staggered, though, that NASA would allow a film crew (under Michael 'angles-happy' Bay) come in and make a bunch of idiot oil riggers smarter than heavily-trained and very fit astronauts....never mind the implication that NASA swipes the drilling technology from the head rigger.....(I guess the logic that drilling anything on Earth is going to be different from drilling something in space is lost on these people)....
....if anyone's going to cry over something, how about 'Space Cowboys'? This at least qualifies as a 'feel good' film and makes a degree of sense.....I have trouble picturing someone admitting to have seen and liked 'Armageddon'; that's like saying I liked Irwin Allen's work.

NASA do get abad showing in this film. Even though cutting trhough rock is cutting trhough rock and digging well does take years to learn believe it or not. The film still sucked though.
I hear bad things about space cowboys, over sentimental was one of those things. Das Boot has probably teh most poingant ending of a film I've seen.
