A brilliant series of books! I read all three in two weeks and would highly recommend them. You certainly do not have to be a child to like them

I agree that the books are very good. I don't agree with Mr Pullman's apparent (on God, sin etc.), but they are presented well and the books are very enjoyable. The books are very intelligent and thought provoking, and I highly recommend them.

One thing I forgot to mention in the Entry was the way that Pullman successfully includes serious metaphysical stuff in a book suitable for anyone as young as twelve years old (or thereabouts) up.
