There are no decent reviews of places to go in Belfast

Another one that sunk down during the Easter holidays...
In short: I like it
Of course, the occasional first person should be dropped and the plug towards the end will be taken out in the copy that (after recommendation by a Scout) will be made for the Edited Guide.
Seeing that you already know the ways of html... converting the entry to GuideML won't be much of a problem for you!
Oh, and my Opera browser reported an error when following the link:
name: TypeError
message: Value on left hand side of '.' is not convertible to Object: kkD11

I agree with the above the occaaion tags to set out the paragraphs would make this considerably more readable.
Also take it out of the first person, make it more subjective and not a personal opinion and it should get into the edited guide pretty easily.

Zarquon's Singing Fish! Posted May 2, 2002
Not sure he's going to. On another entry (sunday Market in Valetta, Malta), he asked other people to do amending work for him.
Shame, it had potential.

Well, so this is yet another removal / FM candidate...

I think it's a bit early, Hell. Give it another couple of weeks. If there's no reply, then go for it. It might be, for instance, that he's gone on holiday and hasn't the opportunity to make any amenments.

Yes, yes, I'm waiting... I was not going to suggest anything officially. BTW there's a time limit isn't there?

Zarquon's Singing Fish! Posted May 3, 2002
Yes, Hell. The official automatic 'time out' is after three months of no reply from the author. If, for instance the author has unsubscribed from the thread, or there is another pressing reason (eg the subject is totally unsuitable, or there's already another Edited Guide Entry, then a scout can suggest its removal, with a seconder.

The GR Manoeuvre --- a posting a day keeps the reaper away Posted Jul 17, 2002
The Flea Market time limit is 2 months now, and Gareth's last posting is of June 21.

Dr Hell Posted Jul 17, 2002
What is the final criterion for an FM-move? Gareth's last posting anywhere or Gareth's last posting to *this* thread?
Does anyone know?

Monsignore Pizzafunghi Bosselese Posted Jul 17, 2002
The Flea Market page itself, <./>RF4</.> has it:
"The Flea Market is where the Editors move entries from other Review Forums if the author 'leaves the building' or abandons their entry for some other reason. We define 'leaving the building' as not posting to h2g2 in two months."
So it's their last posting *anywhere* on site that starts the counter.

Dr Hell Posted Jul 18, 2002
What about: "abandons their entry for some other reason."?
That could be interpreted as 'not posting to the relevant thread', no?
Hmm...

I agree, and I've also raised the point that unsubscription from a PR thread IMHO is a clear sign of 'abandonship', but there wasn't any response from the Italics to that

Mikey the Humming Mouse - A3938628 Learn More About the Edited Guide! Posted Jul 19, 2002
Wouldn't 2 months for any posting to h2g2 and 3 months for posting/responding to the PR thread be a reasonable compromise?

Dr Hell Posted Jul 19, 2002
I think the main criterion for PR removal should be posting to PR only, 2 months BTW, and not just any h2g2 posting. But I guess this is not the right place to discuss this sort of things.
See you around,

The GR Manoeuvre --- a posting a day keeps the reaper away Posted Jul 24, 2002
Well, there certainly should be a time limit imposed on the review thread as well. This would instantly clear out all the zombies in the Workshop -- which I'm going to chase soon
