Canapes do sound like they have legs don't they?

They are a lowland variety of the common or lesser spotted haggis
unlike the lesser spotted haggis their legs are all the same length
which makes them ideal for scampering about. This is what happened,
I was just about to prepare them for the table when the phone rang,
when I went to the kitchen....off they had bloody well scampered.

It was the stick that scared them......

Bashed over the head and threaded on to a stick
Whats to be scared of?
