Thank you for your salient treatise on Kate Bush, her music, her style, the content of her albums (including the current offering), about her collaborations, and showcasing her accomplishments. I’ve been a fan of hers since the album, ‘The Kick Inside’, came to my attention in 1979. I’d joined the US Air Force and my best friend had gone off to a university in northern Mississippi. When we linked up again, he told me about a young female artist who was getting air-play at the school. I went to a music store at one of the local malls and purchase the vinyl album. Before the needle ever hit the groove on side one, I took time to read through all the lyrics, to see what I was getting myself into. Nothing could have prepared me for this woman’s vocal range and emotive power. The subject matter of the tracks was at once honest, sensual, charismatic, mystical, and tongue-in-cheek humorous. It was ground-breaking in a time when the rock scene was stuttering, trying to find a new direction. Kate showed us a way that most would never have considered to travel. Her evocative style and sometimes wild experimentation has kept all of us listeners always receptive to wait for her next release.

You’ve done a remarkable job in researching her life, her music, her impact on the music world. You’ve presented it in a clear and concise manner, yet still laced it with the awe and wonder her fans feel when considering this woman’s work. May all your writing endeavors resound with the same fervor and descriptive imagery with which you’ve imbued this article.

Ormy, I'm just curious from what source you would have gotten: {'Mrs. Bartolozzi' is an enigmatic tale of doing the washing, wading in the sea and - according to some interpretations - murder.}
smiley - huh
Upon first hearing, and subsequent replays, I've always found it to be a song laced with the bitter-sweet melancholy for a recently deceased loved one. In this case, the woman misses her husband so much and the times they shared, she actually mistakes his shirt waving on the washing line as him walking outside her door. Her longing for his touch, as she remembers from instances such as the time they spent embracing in the surf, prompts her to conjure his image back to life for a moment, only to realize the truth--that he is gone from out of her life and all she has to hold onto are the memories.

Anyway, would you elucidate on this one comment in your bio of a wonderfully talented artist?
