Rhymig Slang
cockneydaughter Started conversation Oct 4, 2008
My father, a cockney, spoke to us nearly all the time in rhyming slang or back slang. Is it any wonder that I failed english 'O' level 5 times (is that a record?) Some additions for the list:-
Linen Draper - paper (newspaper)
I suppose - nose
Boat Race - face
Barnet Fair - hair
Hampstead Heath - teeth
Senior moment - will add more as they come to mind!!!
