I just can't believe this. but. this is true.

Got a phone call yesterday, from our manager, at work, at the gym.

He, the manager, and the regional gym manager, plus (I guess), some of the other gym managers, had a meeting, yesterday.
and.

"We decided we are going to close the gym".

really? really? really? 'YOU' 'Decided' your going to close the gym?

yep. that is the level of stupidity we're fighting. viruses don't kill, morons do.

Yup.

My brother-in-law still has to go to work - on pain of dismissal - my sister (his wife) had a very heavy cold which scared the shit out of us all last week. So bad that at one point she was dialling 111 to check it wasn't `cov-19.

She has hemochromatosis, a genetic condition meaning too much iron in your body and went over 30 years undiagnosed. Complications it has given her are early menopause, type-2 diabetes, joint pains (probably arthritis) and osteoporosis. She's also (like me too, and my 75 yo Mum) a chronic asthmatic. So very much vulnerable.

(Oh and his job is directing people who've crashed private cars to body shops and arranging replacement cars for them - hardly 'essential')

today's stupidity goes too... the drug dealing, addict, ex-hairdresser, from nextdoor, screaming his head off rampaging up and down the street =- we got a nice 5 mile walk in today, to hospital, for my regular 11-weekly testosterone injection; maybe the final one for a while at hospital... - I think I may have to try self inject next time, providing I can get hold of a suitable gague intramuscular needle Hospital so quiet, with all routeen and clinics canceled, and no visitors in the hospital busy I assume up on the wards, but clinics, treatment areas, on ground floor, very quiet; nurses I saw today, expect to be reassigned soon to wards etc as the treatment centre, and clinics close down - seem to be more food available in shops now, which is good clocked up over 12000 steps for the day since which I read <book
