Exercise/gym is/was getting samey.... in-stressful physiologically... So we've started compounding our exercises.

Basically, doing several exercises at once...

Did a session yesterday that was really rather decent.

10 minute warm up on the (weird) cross trainer... the one where its like space-walking on it, flat out, 10 minutes smiley - puff

Then to compounded exercises smiley - zen - we split so W did leg presses, then abs, then hamstring/lower leg raises machine, whilst I did the main compound exercise.

Whilst standing on this wobble board thing (no, not a clue what its really called; flat oblong plastic thing, on the underside, has a semi-ball in the middle; so you wobble when standing on it),

So, standing on that, squatting, holding the 10 KG medicine ball (holding it between hands, open palms facing; thereby enguaging all the forearm, upper arm, and shoulder muscles at the same time).

OK. that isn't enough though; so, holding the ball in front, squat down, then up, raise the ball bending arms at elbows, ball ends up at chin; then raise ball above head, then bend at elbows, lowering ball to behind the head, so doing a squat, curl, overhead press then a tricep curl smiley - zen plus the squatting smiley - zen - really works the core due to standing on the wobble board.

In otter news failed to be able to buy a tracksuit top in the sports shop in town today; they didn't have any that were not hoodies smiley - grr

In otter otter news, pretty much set up the new mobile smiley - wow its like entering the modern age smiley - laugh

In otter otter otter news, was discussing psychiological research and neurology last night with a research scientist, at the pub, natch smiley - ale rather interesting smiley - geeksmiley - scientist

off to a pituitary meet up group thing tomorrow, which may be of interest, meeting other people with pituitary conditions, basically... - plus its near the bigger sports shop in the edge of town, so can try there for a decent tracksuit top (for warm up at gym smiley - brr )

Stew again tonight; last night was night one of the second stew, so today is second of the three days of the second stew, and the two days previously were days one and two of stew one... - lasts longer and keeps fresher, making two stews, to last five days, rather one massive one smiley - laughsmiley - chef

Everyone working as a PT at our gym is obsessed by sausages smiley - laugh seriously... smiley - run
