2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Started conversation Oct 27, 2018
So, went to the gym yesterday; for a 'quiet session on our own', just doing the training we wanted to do...
Walked into the gym... and straight into our Personal trainer...
"Oh, I've got some new things for you to try..."
So... was trying some running on the treadmill, hands-free... - quite tricky when I can't see... as it feels like I'm maintaining position on the treadmill, but gradually tend to drift backwards towards the falling off end
So, did that a while... then some ordinary running, followed by sideways, etc....
Then whilst PT had wondered off, to go bully W, I was getting knackered...
So, I turned round, to run backwards for a while....
Which got knackering after a few minutes... so...
I turned back round...
and...
Fell over.... leapt up, turned round, to face forward, and re-started running, without being shot off the end of the treadmill, which, was, of course, moving all the time (8 KM/H) = didn't know my reaction speed was that good = I was sort of half way through turning round, from backwards to forwards, just past the sideways action, when I fell, and I stood really quickly, and placed one foot straight onto the side of the machine; on the non moving bit at the bottom/side, then span on that pivot, to get back on the machine forwards
AFter that, W and me spent a while playing catch-throw; with a medicine ball, I think the 6 KG or perhaps it was 5 KG...
That went well, cept for me missing on catch... and getting (again), a medicine ball in the groin
AFter that we did some weight lifting for half an hour, all entirely event free
I can't get jeans to fit my quads anymore; they're too big... - unless I guess I have to buy some rediculusly big waisted ones - guess I'll just stick to leggings then
had another new client at gym on Thursday, this one with a muscle waisitng autoimmune disease/condition (I forget the name), he's 70 YO, and a good laugh; mainly on Thursday moaning about the £3K bill for servicing his sports car - we did the exercise bike, with him, and some medicine ball work, need to get more an idea what he can/can't do, to see what will best help, retain the muscle texture still not attacked by the immune system - need to get something to help work his lungs, as that is, from memory, the eventual cause of death given all other things equal, with that kind of autoimmune thing; the antibodies miss the heart, as its a diferent type of muscle, but do get the lungs
Went to the pub last night, and, it was freezing out... first real cold night so far this year; and we've had to put the heating on this morning too
Key: Complain about this post
An exciting trip
