2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

smiley - zen I'm really unhappy about the ostio-Drs plan, for me, regarding the bisphosphonate infusion... so much so I've decided to not partake of this particular treatment, for the time being, until they've surrendered to scientific logic, and, at very least, given me another bone density scan first... - its about 16 months, I think, since my first, and only bone density scan, and subsequent to which, I've continued with a lot of stuff that is ment to help bone density, and, additionally, done a lot more asides... - I really don't like them having their cake and eating it; if they say, do X, Y, Z, etc., to improve your bone density; then, subsequently say "but your bone density won't have improved", then, just a inkling of doubt crosses my mind, to either their logic circuits, or their honesty... so... smiley - bleep them... *stamps feet*

at the point I started with the first low scan result, I've fully replaced testosterone, for a further 16 months (good for bone density).
started Growth hormone (amazing for most things in the body, so I'm guessing similarly good for bone).
re-started the horrible thyroid meds, whih make me feel horrible, but which is good for bones.
continued with high-dose Vitamine D, vitamin K2MK7 (directs calcium to bone), calcium supplementation, plus magnesium, to push the calcium to bones, etc.
and, load bearing exercise; true I started slowely, but I'm lifting an average of 15000 KG per week now, plus jumping, kicking, running, lots and lots of walking, etc., etc, plus calasenics etc...

all of which is recommended to improve bone density.....

and... the big problem, with all this in the first place is that endocrinology never got a base-line starting bone density before I started steroids; so, now, the bone Dr wants to repeat that, and not get a baseline at this poinht, before starting the apauling drug that is the bisphosphonate family of poisens?; logic failure.... smiley - grr

Oh, and talking of measures to improve bone density, I'm on the lower dose of steroids now, err... can't entirely recall when that started... but at least since the bone density scan back last Jan, I've been on this lower dose... - which from my reading, is, theoretically below the threshold where its ment to do major bone damage... smiley - erm

anyhow. as it turns out; just got a letter a couple days ago, from bone Dr dept; they've run out of the drug they were going to give me smiley - laughsmiley - laughsmiley - rofl

I'm sensing a wild lack of professionalism throughout the medical professions thesedays smiley - grr

In otter news; my body is still reacting badly to low T levels, and the endocrine nurse/Dr have not replied to my last E-Mail smiley - grr

didn't sleep last night. smiley - sleepy

have tried to nap, but can't sleep due to vibrations/tremmors smiley - grr and 'head-buzz' < cdouble>
My sense of balance is really off, as is my spatial awareness (not sure if that's more the lack of oestrodyle or T itself... one or the otter...).
I'm both cold and hot. at the same time - nope. I really* can't explain that... I just am smiley - laugh

so. basically utterly miserable, which certainly ain't helped by the other major effect of the low testosterone; just a direct neurological affect, useually described as 'low mood'... which... really doesn't cut it for me, as an adaquat description smiley - laughsmiley - zen - Plus my anger level is just about up-there at the punch random strangers level - I'm having to expend what little energy I have, on trying to maintain some zen, or there'll be holes soon through the brickwork smiley - laughsmiley - zen

Think I'll try relax, and either listen to some metal, or pick up the guitar, and play some smiley - ermsmiley - musicalnotesmiley - sleepysmiley - zzz

Logic failure indeed smiley - grr - good idea to decline their invitation to partake of the treatment, I think smiley - ok

Sorry to hear the thyroxin is again making you feel horrible... Hopefully you are receiving some benefit from it as well otherwise I'd wonder if you did need it or not...

Good luck with your zen smiley - zen

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

ahh; different T; testosterone this time... was getting the IM injection every 12 weeks, then we've moved to 14 weeks... this is the second time, spaced at 14 weeks; before the first spaced out to 14 I got a few* symptoms of low testosterone; weakness in the body, muscle weakness, pain, cognative decline, depression, temperature dysregulation, sensory spatial messed up, sleep messed up... - this time, its that X10 smiley - cdoublesmiley - wah - tryinjg to get them to move the IM injection forward... but as yet they've not got back to me (Emailed them again today)... - a week Friday will be the 14 weeks, so unless they do anything quick, it will be then I assume smiley - shrug

The thyroxin/levothyroxine is as confusing as ever; I've increased dose a few times under Drs instruction; notice no difference taking it to not taking any; cept, perhaps some extra eyebrow growth smiley - huhsmiley - raisedeyebrowsmiley - shrug - plus I'm getting more temperature intolerance, both cold and hot, as the dose as increased... no obvious benefit... but, it is ment to help with things like bones... - odd thing is, I'm ment to feel at deaths door, without it, and I didn't... at all... smiley - shrug none of it makes any sense, IMO... heck, without extra glucocorticoid steroids/prednisolone, before and after exercise, I should have a huge crash after exercising, and not tolerate exercise well; I get the opposite, tolerate exercise fine, and get a massive boost in energy post-workout (normal people produce testosterone, endorphins, and crucially, extra cortisol, during/after exercise) smiley - shrug

Oh, to have an intelligent, thinking doctor smiley - grovelsmiley - shrug
