Well, actually, we don't. a lot of the time... 
not enough anyhow...
The electric supply here has got so bad I think we'll have to write to the energy provider 
(yes, I know they don't have anything to do with supply, but I bank on their being able to argue with the Grid people, on our behalf, stronger than we could, on our lonlesome)...
We actually had the internal electrics checked out, a few weeks back, whilst we had some electrical work done; fitting new light fittings, replacing broken ones, fixing a couple rubbish light switches etc... and the electrition seemed happy it all looked fine on our side, and the fuse box/board etc all looked working fine... 
Just some time the power drops so low we can't cook... 
like tonight; had the oven on, working fine, but the hob, wouldn't boil a pan of water (and yes, it was boiling water going into it), and yes, we tried with the other electric hob we have (new both of them), and finally with the old elec hob (which half works as one of the rings is gone, but the other works)... nothing... not sufficient juice...
similarly it sometimes takes three times as long to cook an identicle pan of porridge, as compaired to days when the current is up...
I think the fluctuations may, in the past and now, have also been partially responsible for light bulbs not lasting in the house, blowing often only after a day or two fitted; the lights visably go up and down in the evenings... - can't necessarily see a pattern to the lows, though often it goes back high/normal just after 9.30 AM, to then sometimes, dip again later in the evening well, we cooked dinner eventually, having to use the microwave
went to gym this morning... didn't do much else cept that... did laundry yesterday...
we may end up at the gym again tomorrow, unless we can find something else to do... actually probably oughta sweep and hoover some time 
and now, time for a magnesium bath, with all the bubbles and bath oils I can find 
went to the pub last night... wasn't even very busy out
