Of, a very old leather biker jacket.... not mine, origionally, was lodger's, but it was too small for him, years back... sadly didn't fit me, or I could have had it then...
Anyhow, he left it here... and, although I'm heavier weight now, the gym's paid off, and it fits me sadly, as its not been worn in a couple of decades, it is/was so dried out, that hanging up under the stairs, the arms were 'fixed', in an almost 90 deagree angle
a few days with some decent oil for leather (balsum?) and its looking just about wearable a few more days and it'll be ready to go fits me perfect now
I think it dates from the 1970's - other than that, its all snowy here, so we're not sure we'll be able to get to the gym tomorrow

Thanks for confirming that you do have snow. My mother denies it - she only sees sunshine out of the window - talk about rose-coloured glasses!
Did you rub or spray the oil on and what kind of oil did you use exactly?

Oh, I can't recall the name of it.... its more a cream; like a fairly semi-solid body-butter.... its all natural stuff, beeswax and other things in it, it seemed to get some very good reviews, and works on virtually all leather types (its colourless too of course) - I may next try getting saddle soap, once I've got it worked softer with this at first... which is happening
Worked some more on this morning; to the right hand side, which seemed a lot dryer (probably hung for years near a radiator or something... or in the sun I guess...) anyhow, I worked the back all over again, but concentrated on the right hand side, and left the left arm, as that is getting quite supple now, but did the right arm, and the area under the armpit on that side... I'll see how it looks now, tomorrow (looking better this evening already), then I'll work on the front some more; also, I need to work the inside wind baffle bit, behind the zip, as that was very stiff to start with, and still is lagging behind some of the other parts of the jacket; similarly the leather doubled over, by the inside pocket, and near both side front pockets needs to be worked some more, and similarly, the seems, where the leather is doubled or more, all need some more work
barely any energy today... very slow and feeling very light headed, dizzy and like I'm passing out... I'm hoping its just my being so close to the next testosterone injection, and so having very low testosterone levels... - similar symptoms though to low steroid, so I've been taking extra of them for a while very brian foggy, distant... muddy... and everything is spinning, constantly... (which is a very confusing thing when I'm blind... but... well, that is what it feels like, even if I can't see the 'everything' that is spinning)
This is the first time moving the testosterone injections from every 12 weeks, to 14, so maybe that is a convincing cause... I'll find out soon after Friday once I've had the injection... assuming we can make it through the snow to the hospital
not left the house today... and judging by how quiet it was out, not many people went out either
I'm feeling the cold more than I ever have... a sign of hypothyroidism, which, oddly, I never had when I was hypothyroid, and not* on replacement meds I'm getting more hypo symptoms, like being perminatly cold, nerve problems in my hands etc, as my dose of the thyroid med increases "Dr, we need to talk " a while before my next endocrine clinic app though, Friday is just to see a nurse for the IM injection
talking of injections, its time to go inject myself with growth hormone

Not quite got the jacket where I want yet... but it was cold today so in order just to get out of the house, I wore it out for a short trip up the road to the shops... also to get an idea of the temp so I've a clue what to wear tomorrow for the trip to hospital its a seriously warm jacket... I was only wearing a tee shirt underneath, and I was toasty inside - could have probably done with my leopard print scarf on though, to protect my neck a bit
thermal leggings and a skirt kept my legs warm, thermal socks and hiking boots failed to keep feet warm and two pairs of gloves, including the inner pair of silver gloves (ment to reflect body heat back at the hands),m didn't stop my hands turning blue and white ouch - my neuropathy is definatly getting worse, at least as far as cold tolerance
I guess it'll be as cold tomorrow, if not moreso as we''ll be heading out early ish for the - not sure yet, may wear jeans (a little easier for the nurse to find my glutes to inject me), though I've a feeling my thermal leggings are probably warmer than jeans...
so I may just wear thermal leggings and skirt as useual
Think I'll wear one of the long sleeved cotton jumpers; thicker than a tee shirt, but not an overly thick material for a jumper; I use them as long sleeved tees basically I think I'll wear a hat... probably the red beret
didn't do much today... cept cooking... made bulghur, chicken, sweetcorn and mushroom soup for lunch, and made double, so we've something warm for when we get back from hospital tomorrow...
Dinner was the chicken mince chilli, I made a few days back (got 6 portions from 500 G chicken mince), tonight with basmati rice
bath time now I think... to try warm up

Will the jeans fit over the leggings?

Best remedy for cold feet and hands I've ever found is a sweet dessert or candy, before bed and before going out into the cold, something to make the calories readily available when they're most urgently needed.

leggings under jeans... - I was thinking of that, or just putting some tights on underneath - but figured it would get in the way too much when I had to get on the bed, and bear my bottom to the nurse for the injection
- not sure the sugar thing would work, even now, sitting here, inside, well insulated house, heating on full... my fingers are loosing their sense of touch, especially on my right hand (which is the hand that got th eworse nerve damage for some reason) - they don't, and/or can't seem to generate heat; often I find they are warmer without gloves, as even in the cold, there is some heat in the air; under the gloves there is no heat being generated, so its like the gloves insulate the hands, and socks insulate the feet, from atmospheric background heat - of course it protects them from the wind, so in balance gloves normally work out better, outside, though indoors my feet tend to be warmer if I don't wear socks/slippers
Plus my cortisol/steroids mess up insulin and sugar metabolism
Well, got to hospital fine, all the snow outside had melted, but... it was so cold even with my hiking boots, thermal socks, jeans, a jumper-tee shirt, and a very warm leather jacket (actually my body did remain fine and warm under the jafcket at least), and of course my red beret, and a leopard print scarf for my neck
they took blood... promised to sort our problem with growth hormone deliverys/supply, and after taking blood samples, I received the testosterone shot - she injects it way* too quick; the other nurse, who's on holiday, does it properly... - taking a full minute to inject it, in order to create a depo site with the viscous liquid
I think I know why I've been feeling rubbish the past week or two...
by the time I was in the corridor, walking towards the concourse... my spatial awareness changed; my auditory spatial awareness came back fully. I felt warm. very warm. my brain fog lifted almost completely gosh... I thinks my testosterone level, from the bloods just before injection, oughta be on the low side... well, whatever it is, obviously too low for me, I think I'll get them to move me back to 12 weekly injections, not the current 14 week gap...
Sensory perception on the skin changed, too; the wind on the way back, just as cold, wasn't excruitatingly painful on my face and, well, I just feel way better... - I must go have a proper read about the affects of testosterone on the nervous system, as its not a hormone I know a vast amount about, asides the obvious Oddly, and something I've found before, I feel a lot calmer, as my T levels rise... - not quite the received thought, of higher T levels making one into a killing machine I hope i'll feel even better tomorrow, as th einjection settles in, and if I can I'll lower my morning steroid dose in the morning, back to the useual amount
Although the snow cleared entirely earlier... its now been snowing for hours... and still is... an inch or two is now deposited - I don't think we'll make it to the pub tonight now - a warm bath instead I think... very warm... and full of magnesium salts, rose oil and lots of other nice smelling and bubbly things Hope we can get to gym tomorrow, but I doubt we can, unless the snow clears
rainbow trout tonight, grilled, with slow baked homemade potato wedges, and baked broccoli done with olive oil for the veg, and plenty of black pepper
lunch was the soup I made yesterday, and breakfast porridge (so wwe were glowing from our insides when we went out earlier this morning.)
going to do something with a coliflower tomorrow; we popped into the Turkish shop on the way home, where we get our veg, and tea
